VIP FP - would they be worth it?

I have provisionally booked Inventions for Saturday evening but not sure we are going to go this trip as it's so expensive.

So, it got me thinking to what 'better value' we could get with that money. As we are there for the full day on Sat 1 November and there are no MK EMH while we are there (Studios both mornings). I am toying with the idea of using the money instead to buy VIP FPs. It will be mega busy I'm sure - no EMH, Saturday, half term, French & English hols....

Has anyone on here bought them before? Are they still 60 euro pp from DLH concierge?

My issue is for 4 FPs we are looking at around £189 (Inventions with drinks would be around £145 for 4 of us). I am wondering if we could get away with buying 2 and just share - this would mean however that we won't be able to ride together much :worried:. As we are staying SL GF we will get one FP each per day but this does have blackout times.

Our DDs are getting older and DD1 in particular is now tall enough to ride everything (and will go on anything). DD2 is shorter but can ride most things - just not Indy, Space Mountain. Our fave family ride is BTM :thumbsup2.

yes you can buy 2 VIP FPs and share them between you, they are not individually named.

But I've seen something about them being stopped altogether, unless you are staying in a suite/castle club/empire state etc, where the room gets you VIP FP anyway. I don't know if I have made that up, or if its already stopped, or if its stopping soon etc :confused3 - hopefully someone else remembers seeing this and can advise you further.

If you can buy them, I think buying 2 VIP FPs instead of dinner at Inventions, on that weekend, would be better value.

Thanks for the reply Elaine.

The more I have thought about it today, the more I think it is a wise idea to get the FPs as I know we can do the majority of the FP rides now.

I hadn't heard that they may be stopped now, but then I haven't been following DLP for some time. I might drop them an email and ask.

Hi. sorry to say that Disney stopped selling fast passes earlier this year. There is someone who sells them on ebay though and i have bought them from him 4 times without problem. He sells them for around 150 pounds but then you get a VIP fp valid for upto 5 people and for 2 days so actually much cheaper then the ones you could used to buy at Disney. He you would like his email just send me pm and I am happy to pass it on or just search on ebay for vip fastpass x

Thanks for the tip. Bit concerned about getting involved with that kind of thing due to the risk etc. Just wish they still sold them during busy times, but I understand why they dont! ::yes::

Can I use these VIP FP or did Disney stopped them also ?

I´ve read something here quite a long time ago that these VIP FP are not available also any more ?

:confused3

It appears they have stopped them other than if you're staying in a suite, castle club etc.

I believe they do sometimes still give them out as a goodwill gesture say for a strong complaint. But there's no guarantee.

I wouldn't like to presume how the ones on ebay come about. Staff perhaps?
