VIP Fastpass worth it?

So I am debating upgrading our rooms at the Disneyland hotel to the Castle Club to get the VIP Fastpass. We are going to be there July 30th until August 1st. Is it worth the upgrade knowing the parks will be crowded and we have a short amount of time there?

It will be a massive cost to upgrade as you will lose any special discount offers you got as they don't apply to Castle Club

Also remember you can only use VIP Fastpass on rides which have FP anyhow so I wouldn't say it was worth the extra few thousand £ you may have to pay. Have you phoned them to get a price for upgrade?

I phoned to find out about upgrading and it was crazy expensive (around 2,000 dollars for our four night stay).

On other forums I have seen discussions about buying the VIP fast passes on eBay. But, it's hard to tell if those are legit

I did call and the price difference was about 1300 Euros and that is without the Half-board I already have. I don't think that is worth it.

Yes it will be busy but you are going to have extra long opening hours from 8.00 (as you are hotel on site guests) until 23.00 in the park and from 10.00 to 21.00 no doubt in the Studios.

With 3 days you will be able to do everything you want to do and as above you can only use a VIP FP on the rides which have FP and there aren't that many

I am curious about the VIP fastpass being sold on ebay. Seems too good to be true. Anyone purchased one recently with positive results? Sellers have 100% positive reviews, but I am still reluctant in case it is a scam.

Wouldn't risk it.

A new kind of VIP FP have recently come into effect so these eBay ones are very easy for them to spot and confiscate.

There is a thread on the Trip Advisor DLP forums saying that DLP is cracking down on the Ebay VIP fast passes. Many have posted that the ebay seller is offering refunds. I would read that thread before buying one on ebay.

I saw the old yellow style VIP FastPass ticket (the ones that are being sold illegaly on ebay) being confiscated from guests by CMs last week. - It's not worth the risk don't buy these tickets.
