One of our Day 6 activities will be the VIP Experience at USH. Anyone who has gone before, do you have any advice for me? It'll be me, DH and two DS (14 & 11).
We'll be going on a Thursday in mid July. Have the 8:30am booking currently but I'm open to suggestions based on others' experiences.
So excited for this!

We have done this a few times in the past. I would just relax and go with the flow. The tour guides are very experienced and knowledgable, the lunch was very good and a welcome break from the heat. Have fun. There is also a SoCal Theme Parks section in the main menu.

I moved this thread over to the Southern California Theme Parks forum. The main Disneyland forum is dedicated to Disneyland Resort planning-related threads.:goodvibes

I'm sorry I don't have any help to offer you but I would love if you posted about your experience afterwards since I have been thinking about trying this out too. There isn't as much information about these other theme parks and the special things they offer on these boards, so I bet your trip report will help quite a few people.

Thanks so much Jack. I will adopt that attitude and go with the flow. If you've gone more than once, it must be a good time! And longtimedisneylurker, I will post a trip report.
: )

It keeps getting more expensive every year, but truely VIP all the way around when we went.

Have fun,

Jack

I was at Knotts the other day, and met another DISer who said that VIP was the way to go, and he figured it saved him about 4-1/2 hours of waiting in the queues.

Thanks Jack and Mary Jo. I noticed the price keeps going up yes. Ouch. But as Mary Jo shared, those hours/long lines in the July heat...been there done that once. I'd like to try it one more time with a better result. Here's hoping!

I'm going 4th of July weekend. We're debating front of the line passes or not. I'll tell you how it went.

Our guide was great. we toured the set of a show with Scott Baio(sp??) and toured some other sets, streets and also did the King Kong ride. There were about 8 in our group so its small and very informative. After the studio portion we took the escalators up to the amusement park portion. With the VIP experience the guide takes you to the front of the line. And I mean front as in walk through the exit and get on without any wait. We rode jurassic park, transformers, mummy, simpsons and I think house of horrors then had Lunch. which was excellent. We then saw the waterworld show. The tour ended there but we could have jumped to the front of the line with our VIP ticket on the rides again if we wanted. It was a great tour and I would recommend it to anyone. I wish Disney world had something similar lol.

Ah... and now they do! Disney is a bit more coy about "front of line" access... they just say you can visit attractions "efficiently."
