Violent Tigger?

If you picture Tigger without a costume you can CLEARLY see that it was the kids fault. At the very end Tigger looks at the kid like "you little piece of...."

We were down in Disney when this was released on the news. One of the character guards was on TV and said that one of the first things that the cast member is taught to do if something were to happen while they were in costume is to lock their arm down on the guests arm if an action was being done to harm the character. You can clearly see that. The character had said that the kids hand was in the back of the costume and he could not breathe. I think that would be a reaction if someone was doing something and you could not breathe was to push them out of the way. In the video from the last person you can see tigger after it is over kind of "forgiving" the boy for what ever he did. People will do anything now adays. Disney news did cover it very well while I was there.

Krissy,
Thanks so much, what an interesting post! I was wondering what Disney did media wise and what happened in that area.
Thanks again!

Maybe Tigger should sue the parents for having an unruly kid!

That would be a pretty neat switch don't yah think?

Disney has every inch of that park under surveilane. Especially the character areas.

We were eating at Donalds Breakfastasourus, Mickey came out and was waving to everyone. I noticed over my head the garland over my head was moving then someone started shouting "NO DONT YOU DO THAT NO SIR" we turned and looked and the table right behind us had a rather tall teenage boy that had picked Mickey up under his armpits and raised Mickey up over his head making his head hit the garland on the ceiling. :scared1: This was done out of excitement for the boy, and I know he did not know what he did was not alowed from his later reaction. The character guard continued to tell the boy in a very loud voice how it was not allowed and you never touch a character in that matter. It was a rather odd moment, the boy felt awful, and it scared everyone in the entire restaurant. We were all very quiet for the next few minutes. Mickey was okay and ventured on to the rest of the tables. within seconds from that happening there was security throughout the place. The kid just did not that you are not allowed to pick up the characters in love. He surely knows now.

It's very clear as you watch the video that Jerry JR was pulling on the costume. Just watch his left arm go down long before Tigger grabbed his arm and "hit" him. Glad Jerry SR is going to be a fine exsample to his kids.

Tigger was choked by the kid pulling his costume at the neck. Disney suspended the character with pay and since has returned to work. Disney will not pay the family anything and admits no wrong doing. They refuse to apologize since they believe they have nothing to apologize for. Someone ought to chock that kid and see how he might react.

Let's also talk about the character (Tigger) as a person. He is know for helping. We know a family who has a severly handicapped child. The mother has severe arthritis. This guy will wait a 1/2 hour at the grocery store to assist the family with getting the child into the car unload, the groceries and help load the wheel chair just because he cares.

If they are sucessful in getting the case to court I hope they call this family to testify. They will crucify their case.

YEAH TIGGER!!!!:cheer2:

Thanks for the information. I am glad to hear that tigger is okay and that Disney is backing him. :)

Sooner or later because morons are going to keep doing stuff like this and Disney will decided to either not allow contact (pictures or otherwise) with any of the characters or you'll only see them from a distance never "in person".

As bad as this sounds I can only hope that when the family returns home people there let them know what low-lifes they really are. :rolleyes1
