Ok I was going to post a few days ago about this, but put it on hold because there is an ongoing investigation, and the last thing my school needs is moremedia attention. The past few weeks there has been a threat(s) of gun violence in my school. The police have been investigating and have made a few arrests. Today, Thursday, or tomorrow, Friday, was (or is) going to be the "climax" of sorts of this violence. Today nothing happened, just swarms of undercover and regular cops in my school, and a bunch of nervous kids. Today the school was literally empty, kids stayed home. In my first period class 7 kids were out. There were 4 kids on my bus when there are usally 15. It was weird. So tomorrow, well we will see what tomorrow brings. Supposedly the violence threat is over, according to some, but others are not quick to rule this out. I dont know, Ill update this if i forgot everything.

vent over.

I am so sorry.
My PM box is always empty! lol
=p

I would have stayed home.

That's stinky.
I still would've gone to school, because I like school when there aren't so many people there.
You learn more and the teachers are nicer.

Like in the seventh grade there was a walkout where all the Mexican kids walked out of school and got suspended for a few days.

Scary. It's horrible. All this violence.
I still would've gone to school though.

I'm honestly suprised we haven't had a bomb threat yet. We had like 7 last year....Unfortunately.

This happened at my school last year. it was an overnight thing though. all of a sudden my first period was full, then my second period had a few out, then there were three in my homeroom. it was insane. cops were everywhere. they were searching everyone.

i went to school today.

i think that the school handled it well, but i am really nervous about tomorrow!:scared:

i was at school when it was going on too. My schools population went from 2000 to 350 in ONE DAY.

OK--nothing happened today, and now there is a new date......Homecoming next Friday. Last year there was a shooting at a security truck at my school during homecoming, thank God it missed the security guard and hit his truck. Im nervous about this, so Im decided.... not go to homecoming and now to go see a movie with a bunch of friends. I do not want to be: "guilty by association."

I'm sorry.
We just had a "fire drill" that lasted an hour about a week ago.
It turns out some kid called in a bomb threat and police were searching the school.

It's okay to be nervous, but you can't live your life scared. I wouldn't worry about it to much.

i would have started cracking up on the spot!!

I hate it when kids do stuff like that. The kids at my school do it all the time.

Twice last year people started fires in bathrooms because they were smoking. The school locked down all the bathrooms except one and we had to sign in and out everytime we used them.

We had a total of 3 bomb threats in a month. We were evacuated to an ice arena a half mile from the school in January without coats. They wouldn't let us to our lockers so we walked in the -10F weather to the arena where we sat without jackets in about 15F enviornment for 2 and a half hours. After that they just evacuated us to the back parking lot which was closer, but a lot more dangerous because say a bomb did go off, the ideal place to put it would be auto shop...which is right next to the staff parking lot...which is right next to the back parking lot. They were close enough that they could have sparked a chain reaction.

Then some really immature senior guys decided that they wanted to break into a girl's bathroom that had been locked and...well, let's just say they didn't use the toilets and it wasn't just liquid on the floor. That prompted even tighter security around the school.

Overall, last year was awful.
