Vinylmation autograph

Hello,
I recently saw on a Disney facebook page that soem people were using the blank white vinylmation for autographs. I was doing some research and can not find anything recent regarding if this is allowed in Disney World. Some articles I found from 2014 said it was banned and characters would refuse. Does anyone have any current information on this? If you did this I would love to see some pictures too!!!

I've seen it done at WDW in the last 12 months (probably 4-5 different occasions). So I assume it's OK.

We had one signed after 2014 so I can't fathom what that article would have been talking about. The only thing I know of a character refuses to sign is something a person is wearing.

Curious, what reason did the person who wrote that give for the character refusing to sign? Handlers will give a reason if asked

We were there at the end of July and my son purchased one and had it autographed. It turned out really cute.
