Villians Sinister Soirée

I think KennythePirate is going to tonight's Soiree, can't wait to follow his Twitter and read his full report!

Ich have a question...as far as checking in for the Soireé goes, the Disney website says:

"To check in for the event, visit the Will Call booth outside the main entrance of Magic Kingdom park from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Starting at 7:30 PM, you may check in at the parade and fireworks viewing area in the central plaza by the Castle Forecourt Stage.
Once you have checked in, you’ll receive a credential, which must be presented to enter the preferred viewing areas and Cinderella’s Royal Table. "

Now...do I really have to check in twice? Once at will call and then again at the viewing area or can I just go to the viewing area anytime between 7:30 and 8:15 to check in?

Reads to me as one or the other. Not both.

No. Just once.

So I've asked 3 people in the park so far. Where do I pick up the soirée lanyards? Guest relations?

If you choose not to participate in the preferred parade or fireworks viewing, you can check in at Cinderella’s Royal Table at your designated seating time.

A few pics from 9/9 party...we were at the first seating.

Parade/fireworks viewing area; it never got more crowded than this. There was tons of room. We were right up against the rope just off-center to the left.

This is how close the Cast Members were getting to us throughout the parade.

This is after the parade. We moved backwards to watch the fireworks within the viewing area. We are pretty much right in front of the Walt statue.

Mommy2corinne..... I'm glad you had a great time.

But honestly I look at that viewing area and I'm just sad that so many other people who paid for party attendance that night were blocked out of underutilized prime viewing real estate. :(

View of Celebrate the Magic from the viewing area:

Most of the fireworks looked about like this...a bit obstructed, but still very cool.

Captain Hook and Frollo walked around as people were being seated:

The character interaction was great!

There is still a ton of great viewing area.

Thanks for posting!!! I'm surprised at how empty the viewing area was... I can't keep track -- was this a one-soirée night?

ETA: looks from the list like it was a two-soirée night... wonder if a lot of people just skipped this?

We are going to the first seating. I decided to add the second party might as I don't think we will get enough done, but I just think the second seating is to late for us.

I have second seating for October 9 and I too decided to go to a second MNSSHP because I thought I might not get everything I want done.

Wow nice worth the $ least I won't have to claim a curb spot an hour before and guard it with my life ... Nice nice nice ...

Thanks for the pics, mommy2corrine! It looks unreal! Hope as the parties get busier the special area remains spacious. I couldn't be more excited and your pics definitely make the whole experience seem amazing. I love your brave little DD posing with all those villains!

Will report out more after I am home. But just a quick summary. 9/12 soirée viewing area was a little more crowded than 9/9 it looks like for the parade. Still tons of space. Cleared out a lot for the villains show, light show and fireworks. Personally I didn't think the view was obstructed in the least.

CM waited with us then escorted us to the castle. It was 7 of us. Three adults and 4 kids age 2, 6, 7 and 8. 2 year old was fading in line for the soirée checkin. But as soon as we were in the lobby he picked back up. Step sisters in the lobby which was fun. Then we went upstairs. There was no queen of hearts which I was sad about since I was Alice.

Frollo and Captain Hook were wandering around the dining room. We didn't realize they weren't going to stay long. So if you want a picture get it quick.

Lady tremaine, step sisters, dr facilier, evil queen, maleficent, cruella were going to the tables. Lady tremaine did some singing and entertainment so she didn't really stop at each table. More of a breezing by.

Desserts were great! Thought the themeing was great! You could box up whatever you didn't eat. Didn't feel rushed once we were seated. Overall I'd say well worth it for the viewing area lack of crowd and to meet the villains which the kids loved!
