Villas of Somerset

We are staying at the Villas of Somerset in January. We are going down for DS's national soccer tournament at Wide World of Sports, and the tournament requires you book accomodations thru their travel agency in order to play in the tournament. The only vacation homes left were in the Villas of Somerset. Has anyone stayed there recently? This is driving me CRAZY!!!! I am always the one who researches and looks at reviews and what the best deals are- this having to go thru a TA has really thrown me for a loop! I am hoping they are nice- there are 5 other families going and we pushed for the Vacation Home option instead of the Resorts or hotels, based on the GREAT time we had at Windsor Hills in June. So please- tell me all you know about the Villas of Somerset!!!!!!!! TIA

Hi, These are very nice basic condos that were built in the early 1990's. Nothing fancy like Tile baths but the should be just fine for you. There is a nice walk in shower in the master bath, and the living area is spacious with a big round window at the end.

The pool is basic but heated very nicely. It can be a walk from the condos if chilly, but that is true at any condo complex.

There is a small games room by the pool and a place to buy snacks.

The location is good for Disney access. You are just off 192 on Poinciana Blvd. This puts you east of Disney on 192 and there are lots of restaurants either way on 192.

To get to Disney, especially the sports complex, just go north on Poinciana across 192 about a mile and hop on the Osceola Parkway west to Disney for about 50 to 75 cents. Have 3 quarters ready as no toll booth.

It will beat hotel rooms as you will have extra space.
