I've read that it's best to request specific room numbers for VCG to improve chances of getting a desired room view. Would I do that through member services, or do I call the hotel directly?

Any requests need to be noted on the reservation by MS.

I just call them and read them my list. Then either have them read them back, or I call again later to make sure they were copied correctly.

Others email them to MS.

Either seems to work fine.

My requests have never been granted here but I love this resort soooo much since it was the first one we stayed at and owned. Never had a bad room location no matter what
