Hi,

Can any of you recommend any villas that are close to Disney and maybe have public transport links to Disney/universal ect....

Many thanks, Nichola

Bonnett Creek resort (I think is timeshare) is practically on Disney property near DTD.
Also if you want a villa - Disney do have studios & villas at their DVC resorts - if you look on the DVC board you can learn more about renting them. You also get all the Disney benefits of staying on site.
Sorry - but I haven't stayed at either so can't tell you much more.

We stayed at Windsor Hills on our last visit which is quite near to AK but I wouldn't have stayed there without a car although I do believe there is a shuttle.

There are a lot of villa developments 'close to Disney', by close I mean 10-15 minutes away by car.

To be brutally honest, having stayed at many villas over the years you HAVE to have your own car to make it work, for me they are essential.
Not just for the parks but for supermarket visits and just getting around Orlando or Kissimmee etc

Sorry not being negative just villa and car go together I am afraid.

You may try finding an apartment, studio type accomodation closer to Disney perhaps and I agree having stayed at the Boardwalk that a DVC resort is an option, but would be much more expensive if for example you wanted to spend the whole holiday there.

Is renting a car a non-starter?

You really do need a car if you stay in a villa..

Sheraton Vistana Villages is a resort of serviced 1 and 2 bed apartments within walking distance of a supermarket on I-Drive. You can get the trolley to Universal and shuttle buses to Disney.

We stayed there last year but did actually rent a car which was brilliant.

While not a villa, it is one way to keep costs down while keeping some freedom (ie having a kitchen and washer/dryer) and is very luxurious.

I think you will be better off staying at a disney hotel
