Hello Everyone...I am new to the boards here and am looking forward to chatting with you all. I go to Disney every January and have a son who is absolutely crazy about the villains (Jafar is his favorite). But they are not around anymore, except for in the parades. I understand that there was a problem with people complaining about villain behavior (which makes no sense, because villains are not supposed to act pleasant!) but I am hoping that there is somewhere that they can be seen on a more up close and personal basis...he is asking Santa for that for heaven's sake!!! I am at a loss...does anyone know something that I don't? Thanks so much everyone :earsgirl:

Maybe you should plan a visit for October sometime. The Villains are out in full force for MNNSHP (Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party). At least that was my experience last year.

The Villians are my favorite as well. In June I was able to find Cruella, and the Queen of Hearts at MK and I saw Jafar in the Moracco Pavillion at Epcot.

We were there in March and we saw the Queen of Hearts in MGM and the Evil Queen, Cruella, and Jafar in MK. Cruella was definitely in character. She was yelling at me to hurry up and take the picture!

We saw villians this past August. We saw Jafar, but I don't remember where. At MK, we saw Cruela De Ville and Governer Ratcliffe (both near Main Street), the Queen of Hearts in Fantasyland and Captain Hook near the Pirates of the Caribbean. Ask a CM where you might find Jafar and they will check for the locations that he is scheduled to appear on that day.

Villains are my favorite as well, and I have heard the Queen in Snow White was acting very rude and snotty. Love when they're in character, but I have known people to be put off by it as well.

I've heard stories of the Villians "in character" behavior but I've never actually witnessed it. Last trip we saw Jafar, the Queen of Hearts, and Captain Hook. The Queen did seem to fancy my husband though.

I could have sworn there used to be a Villians only character meal, but I'm guessing they have ended it since I can't find any information on it... :( However, there is a program at WDW called C.H.I.P (Character Hotline Information Program). This allows any Cast Member to call and locate any character for a guest. I would think your odds for it are better with a store CM, since they would have a phone handy! Here's a website that offers some tips as well...

Good luck and have fun!

The Villains are still making appearences in the parks. Jafar in particular has known to have been spotted over near the Magic Carpets of Aladdin at MK and sometimes in Morocco at EPCOT and the Sorcerer's Hat at MGM (although I have not seen him at either of those locations recently). Asking a CM where he will be appearing is a good idea. They should be able to tell you where he will be that day.

As for the other Villains, some of the better places to look for them are Town Square at MK (Cruella, Ratcliffe, and Prince John seem to frequent this location the most), Mad Tea Party at MK (Queen of Hearts), Pirates of the Caribbean (Hook), the Sorcerer's Hat at MGM (The Queen or Witch from Snow White, Cruella, Queen of Hearts, Hook, and other miscelanious Villains), and sometimes the character bus at EPCOT (maybe Hook or Prince John). Hope that helps.

I did notice that there were a lot less villians this year than last. I kind of missed them.

I just got back on Sunday and was able to get pictures with Prince John, Captain Hook and Smee, they were on the Character Bus at EPCOT.

On a recent trip Jafar was indeed by the carpet ride and he was there for a LONG time!

I've seen Cruella many times this year in the MK, in the Exposition Hall and in Town Square. She was "nasty" to us and we loved it. I think it's great but I guess it could scare some kids, I would think people would like it that the Villains are like their roles in the films, wouldn't be right if they were sweetness and light.

The Queen of Hearts is by the Tea cups a lot.

:)

The best place for villains used to be the Fantasyland Character Festival area (near the old 20000 Leagues Under the Sea) , but last month it was closed! :( In the last year, I seen some more unusual villains there like Stromboli, Malificent, and Frollo.

I also agree that if villains are your favorite, try a trip in October for Mickey's Halloween Party - we saw so many villains!! Some really rare ones out were The Snow White Witch, Big Bad Wolf, Pain, Panic, and Scrooge. :teeth:

My nephew also loves the villains, but when we actually find one in the parks, he is too scared to even approach them!

Hopefully, You should be able to find some meanies on your trip! :)

We saw alot of villans last December. I hope the meeting area in Fantasyland was closed only temporarily! That is where we saw the Queen of Hearts, Prince John (Robin Hood), and Jafar. When Jafar saw my daughter walking towards him, he bent down on one knee and kissed her hand. I have to say that he went up quite a few notches in my book after that! We saw Captain Hook/Mr. Smee a couple of times around MK and Cruella DeVille in MGM. I have to agree with other posters.....she definitly is IN character. She is the only one that scared my kids enough to NOT stop and get a picture.:scared1:

Just got back and saw Captain Hook on Main Street first thing in the morning and Jafar at Adeventureland after 10:30ish. Those were the only two I remember seeing at the MK.

... but two years ago there was a great store at MGM, on Sunset Blvd., which sold Villains souvies, and there were almost always villains skulking (what a great word!) around outside the store. And I've also seen the Queen of Hearts at the Mad Hatter on several occasions. She's probably my favorite... love the permanent scowl (my kinda person!).

jerseydizdreamer & Sweet_Thing, the Villian store was still there when we were @ MGM in April, we stopped in and I bought a Maleficient shirt. I, too, am a villian fan and she has always been my favorite.

Sweet_Thing, the bulk of our trip this time ended up being character greetings and autographs. And like everyone else so far, we saw most all of what has been listed. Your DS should be able to get his fill of villians, I did. :teeth:

Okay, ask the children to leave the room. All gone. Good.
Our funniest character greeting was @ MGM. We were walking around after lunch and notice this huge, metal door closing and Sully behind it. So we stop, grab a CM and ask about getting pics. The CM says 10 minutes. Great, we'll wait. Not 5 minutes into waiting, out from behind a gate walks this really tall, male CM and this rather short, female CM. I smile at my wife, and we ask them if Sully and Mike were still coming out in 5. They both look at each other, ask us where we had heard that, look at each other again and then say "No, we're pretty sure they won't be". My wife and I chuckled about that the rest of the day.
