Hello

We are planning a holiday to Orlando for October 2007 and are thinking of staying in a villa. Does anyone here have any recommendations on villas.

Thanks

Hiya

we just booked a villa for november 2007, went with one on the retreat at legacy park,

we also just got abck from a villa at orange tree which was very nice

one thing though stay away fro the villas at silver creek, woodridge, we asked to be moved from ours this year

Hi and welcome,

I have driven around many of the villa developments over the years, mainly because our first rental was a disaster.

In my opinion you are best staying in Kissimmee, where there are 2 main areas with several villa developments at both, Formosa Gardens and Poinciana Boulevard.
Here you will find easy access to supermarkets, restaurants plus Disney and the I4 interstate, you are basically in a good location for everything.

I can highly recommend Indian Creek and Windsor Palms, and in addition Terre Verde and Cumbrian Lakes are very nice too.

A south facing pool is a good thing to have as you get the sun all day long.

The best thing is to search and search until you find the home you like.

Try:

If you would like to see links to homes I have actually stayed in please pm me. ;)

We just stayed at a beautiful villa in Reunion (http://www.reunionresort.us.com). Reunion is 15/20 minutes drive (door to door) from Disney.

The villa itself is completely luxurious, has everything you could want, 4 bedrooms, and in a very peaceful and private location. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Would definitely recommed it.

Boo

Reunion is one of the top developments in Central Florida, it is very very nice but has a price to match so not suited to everyone. However, if you really want spend extra £ on a luxurious villa it's a great choice - personally £500 per week or so at the likes of Indian Creek is our preference.

Just returned from Indian Creek and really loved it. The location was top notch, loads of help from Johnny to choose, listen to the guy but just dont mention banana boogies. Sent you a PM with some details on what we paid etc to give you an idea on what to expect.

We stayed at Windsor Palms in 2004 and loved it. No problems whatsoever and the villa was fabulous. Ideally situated just off the US192 which is very handy as all the restuarants and supermarkets are in easy reach, and it was a 10-15 mins drive into Disney dependent on the traffic and time of day. I beleive the Indian Creek resort (which was right next door) is very good too, a friend recommended it to me.

We stayed in a Disney hotel this year, (Port Orleans French Quarter) and whilst it was very nice, I personally would go back to a villa again. You can't beat having your own bedroom, and all the extra space (not to mention an extra bathroom). It was lovely to have your own pool too.

I myself would go for a resort just off the US192, as everything is handy, Disney is not too far away, and I4 is close for getting to Universal and Seaworld. What I always think of is at the end of a long, foot weary day you want to be able to get 'home' as quickly and as easily as possible.

I have a site that shows all the locations of the villa resorts but because I am technically challenged whilst on a computer I don't know how to insert the hyperlink. Maybe some other clever person could post a link to something similar?

Hope you get something sorted to your satisfaction soon, you can't beat the feeling when you get it all booked up. :woohoo:

on our last stay we were in a villa at Winsor Palms & we couldn't fault the villa or the great location,

Windsor Palms also has a club house which our teenagers enjoyed using & a large communal pool which we didn't use but was never busy

The location meant we were near enough to leave the parks & go back for a mid afternoon break / swim. and the return to the parks later in the day

Just to add to your confusion, we have stayed at Regal Palms, these are 3 and 4 bedroomed houses.

It is a resort, with a pool complex, which comprises of a lazy river and 2 pools, with a slide and kids playground. There is also a Gym, so you get the benefits of a house with the benefits of a hotel. I would add, that you do not get maid service, just as you wouldn't with a pool home.

My little boy made lots of friends with the other children at the pool.

Next time we go, we will either stay here or a similar type of property, with a shared pool rather than our own.

It took 15-20 mins to get to Disney, using the sherbeth road shortcut from the 192.

Thanks for the info. Sorry to be nosey, but what was wrong with the villa's/area ?

silver creek at woodride was full of gangs of teenagers, abusive ones at that. Also the villa was tiny, You didnt feel safe even inside the villa,

Silver Creek is also not in the ideal location, being one of the most northern developments.

Another vote for Windsor Palms - fab location, lovely villas, going back there for the third time in less than a month!

Hi,

We usually stay at Indian Ridge which is 192 west, ideally situated for everything and within the vicinity that you are looking in. We managed to find a great villa as follows:-

holidaylettings co uk
Property id:5751

We have stayed here already for this year and have booked again for next year. I cannot fault this accommodation at all, it caters for all my needs, children and all. This property will not disappoint you if available.

Good luck in finding accommodation. :thumbsup2
