Our family of 11 (5 adults, 6 kids) is looking for a family vacation for the summer. We have been back and forth with the Florida beaches, and now I am thinking of doing an Orlando resort and taking day trips here and there.
We want everyone from ages 2-70 to be content. The adults want to relax, but the kids want to be on the move.
I steered away from my original plan in Sandestin, because I read too many negative reviews on summer crowds.
Then, I looked into Windsor Hills...while it is beautiful, I think we will be bored there for a week.

I read that you can make a vacation out of Marriott Cyrpess Harbour, by never leaving the resort. Then, I got a great price for a presidental suite at BC.

Basically, we will have a car, want to eat our meals in the room, and want to relax while not being bored if that makes sense. We do not want to leave the resort everyday, maybe every other day.

Suggestions?

Thanks so much!

any of the Marriott or bonnie creek would be fine - the Hilton grand vacation club are nice too. go with the one you can get the best rate on.

vacation village at parkway are nice too/

Looks like I can get BC the cheapest. I just want the best timeshare resort for a week of entertainment...I am looking for lots of activities to keep the kids entertained because we are not doing the parks.

Holiday inn club Orange Lake has something for everyone. Young and old. We were there for 13 days and left property twice. And had a12 & 14 year old. If u need any info in box me.

Sheraton Vistana Resort has lots to do. Amenities like 7 pools, 6 hot tubs, 13 tennis courts, multiple playgrounds, 2 sand volleyball courts, 2 basketball courts, shuffleboard, mini golf, an onsite Farmers Market and more. Activities from wine tastings, casino cruises and scuba classes to dive-in movies, Gatorland visits, and craft sessions for the kids. These activity schedules will give you an idea of the types of activities they offer....the schedules are from August 2014 but still hadn't changed much when we were last there in October 2015:

This thread is a spectacular resource for anyone considering a stay at SVR:

We have gone to WBC many times and not gone to the parks. There is lots to do at the resorts, plus its super-close to Disney Springs and all the Disney resorts

However, WBC is not the only resort we have stayed at not visited the parks. We've also stayed at Sheraton Vistana and Marriott Harbour Lake and done a non-parks trip.

There are so many great options for fun in Orlando, its hard to make a bad choice.

The Villas at Grand Cypress are very nice and ideal if there are golfers or fisherman in your party. I read about it here, with lots of pictures:

I think you have access to the Hyatt Grand Cypress next door, so you have big resort and more intimate resort options in one place. I like that you can get big units with lots of living room space for big family gatherings.
