Hi All,

I would be grateful if anyone could offer any advice, opinions (good or bad) or share any experiences regarding booking a villa package holiday with a TA.

This is our 3rd Disney holiday and having stayed onsite previously we now would like to try a villa to gain the extra space for 2 children!!

I did consider DIY but the flights seem so expensive for when we want to go (end of May 2011), and for not much more I can hopefully get a complete package

Thanks :)

Hi

We have looked into it before but the main thing that put us off was that you didn't get to choose your own villa - they all seemed to be 'allocated on arrival'
We have done quite a few villa holidays now and have always picked our own as we have very specific requirements (free wi-fi, phone calls, south facing/not over looked pool etc) and none of the TAs could guarantee even one of them.
I'm sure a package works well for some but having done it DIY we could never do it any other way.

The last twice we have done DIY & stayed in a villa. This year we have done a villa package with Travel ccity Direct & it didn't cost much more than the flights. Plus we only had to pay a deposit.

Whilst we don't know which villa we are in we know which community & that they are all new villas, so aren't worried.

TCD are owned by Virgin & we have Virgin lfights form Manchester.

TCD villas are mainly based on highway 27

OP we have always had a villa, and like Kenny always do DIY - i like to pick where i would like to stay, which is mainly at the poncianna boulevard end of the 192.
If your happy doing a package and having AOA for your villa then thats the thing to do for you, if the price is right
How long will you be going for and who will you be flying with?

Thanks for the replies so far.

I am a little worried about allocation on arrival which is why I am still holding back with booking anything, however I am struggling to get a villa and flights (DIY) for a similar price.

Netty - we are looking to go for 14 nights
