Villa Location Question.

We are renting a Villa for our trip in October. We did this last Christmas, and pickens were slim for what we could really afford. This time we are thrilled to have more time, and more selection. We are wanting to be as close to Disney as we can. Last time we were in Eagle Creek, which seemed to be a bit of a haul. I am looking specifically at Indian Creek and Rolling Hills. From the maps that I can find on the Internet, these seem to be the closest with perhaps the exception of Formosa Gardens, which is a bit out of our budget range. Am I reading these maps correctly.

Any advice would be appreciated.

These are quite close to WDW AK. Where you were last time in Eagle Creek is quite a distance from Disney. Here is a map that can give you a good idea where you are and how close by you are to disney. The cut through road is called Sherberth RD also know as Entry Point BLVD.

We have rented villas in Emerald Island Resort around Christmas the last two years. It took us about 10 minutes to get to Disney. It's as close as you can get to Disney without staying on property. It is a gated resort that offers townhomes and pool homes. It is GREAT!!!!! :thewave:

yes, these two locations are very convenient to Disney...either one would be a great location for you...Have a wonderful time, Grandpa Ted

You might look at the Champions Gate area. Westhaven has several communities that are very nice. And it is the 1st exit out of Disney gates on I -4 West. 10 -12 minutes to any park or resort. It is also close to Celebration and Reunion.

We rented at Windsor Palms near Indian Creek and it was about 3-4 songs on a CD, depending on traffic, from driveway to MK parking lot.

The following subdivisions are close:
Formosa Gardens, Acadia Estates, Oak Island Harbour and Cove, Rolling Hills, Indian creek, Windors Palms, Windsor Hills , Emerland Island and my favorite Sunset Lakes.

There is construction going on and I would verify the homes location in Windsor Plams, Oak Island Harbor and Cove, and Indian Creek. These seem to be the most affected.

Have fun renting a home. It will be your best vacation ever.

"Hey Juliet..Disney Mambo #5...and a little Zip-a-dee-do-dah" are our songs, and if it takes longer than those, our kids are like.."Wow, there's lots of traffic today!!" LOL!!
