Well after much debate we have decided to book for Florida next year.
We have booked the flights, but now need to find a villa.
Previously we have stayed at Windsor Hills and Emerald Island, but we have been a party of 9. This time it is just the 4 of us. Myself, DW, DS (2) and DD (7).
I enjoyed staying at a villa, especially with the kids it gave them freedom and space around the place while the pool comes in handy for DD while I relax with the sun.

So I am looking for a villa, preferably 3 bedroomed, but I would like a normal size pool rather than a small pool that sometimes comes with a 3 room villa.

There are hundreds to choose from at various sites, but I am looking for one quite close to Disney but at the right price. So I am looking for your inspirations and experiences in where, when you have stayed.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

We have been staying in villas for years, both Windsor Hills and Emerald Island are great choices and well located.

The problem you may have is in my experience at the communties we generally prefer there are not that many 3 bedroomed homes around, in fact some of the villa developments don't have any at all.

The likes of Windsor Palms, Indian Creek, Terre Verde (where we stayed this year) and Cumbrian Lakes (where we stayed a few years ago, and are also next year too), are all in Kissimmee and convenient for the parks.
WP & IC being very close to where you have stayed before.

Normally I could provide links to homes where we have stayed in the past, and as there are just the 3 of us they tend to be fairly priced, but we have never stayed in a 3 bedroomed - purely because we found the choice a bit limited, given we tend to only look at 5 or 6 different communities.
We generally pay around a £1000 for a 2 week stay, though often we stay a few nights extra on top of that.

If you need any links to homes we have stayed at, and that I could recommend let me know mate.

As Always, thanks for your quick reply.
If you can provide any links it would be appreciated.
I always seem to go to the same sites and see the same villa's so if you have any sites listing villa's it would be good.

Cheers

Neil

No problem mate, good luck with your search.

You will probably find by the way that a lot of the pools for 3 bedroomed are not noticeably smaller, it probably depends on the community concerned, I know some of the townhomes at the likes of Windsor Hills have very small pools but that may not necessarily be the case for some of the others, guess it all depends on the various plots etc

Hi, we faced the exact same problem when we rented a villa as we have a son and a daughter who both needed their own rooms so we found one through an owners direct site and then asked if they offered an under occupancy discount and they gave us their friends and family rate so that may be worth trying. Happy hunting.
