Viewing Wishes/Illuminations?

Where are your fav. spots to view Wishes and Illuminations? Why do you like them, how early do you have to get to them the "stake them out"?

Mine favorite place to watch Wishes on Main Street near the exit.

Wishes - the tables near the Plaza Counter Service Restaurant (between Main St and Tomorrowland). It gives you a great view of the fireworks and Tinkerbell flies almost directly overhead. I usually grab some food and get a table at the very front about 45 minutes before the show.

Illuminations - the benches in China. Much better location than the others I've been to (Rose & Crown, Morocco boat landing, Germany). You can see everything from here - the fireworks, the globe and the water show - without any problems. Again, I usually grab some counter service and pick a bench right up against the railing about 45 minutes before the show.

Thanks!! I am always trying to find a new spot. We always get a decent spot then some inconsiderate tall person comes and stands right in front of my children!

Exactly what I was looking for, I will by trying out kandmwedding's suggestions in early May, these sound like great suggestions. Good idea to get the food and stake out good tables/benches. Thanks!!!

Wishes- I've only seen that from Tomorrowland, right next to Space Mountain, so I really couldn't give you a great describtion of that. I really only heard them, rather then saw them...
Illuminations- I stayed to watchi this about two or three times my last trip and I found the bridge from China to the African outpost (I think that's what it's called) gave me a pretty good view. Also, when I went it was as crowded as normal, so you'd have to keep that in mind. But that bridge did work out pretty well... good luck!

Our magical spot for viewing wishes is on the walkway between crystal palace and casey's. You can get there early and stake out the spot right near the roped/chained off area. It's perfect cause no one can get in front of you and you have a perfect view of the castle and show.
