Viewing MVMCP Fireworks from California Grill

Hello, everyone.

I'm in the process of planning a trip after Thanksgiving this year, and am working up our dining plans. We an do our ADRs in a couple of weeks.

Since Magic Kingdom will be closed due to the MVMCP on 4 of the 6 nights we will be there, wondering if we could arrange a reservation at the California Grill and be able to see the MK party fireworks from there?

Anyone have any idea what time the party fireworks are usually scheduled so that I can figure out what time to try for a reservation?

We watched regular Wishes from the observation deck at CA Grill last summer. The view is great! It's very different from watching in the park or anywhere else. They pipe in the music and it was not crowded at all even though the restaurant was very full. You can eat early and return to view the fireworks with your receipt if you can't get a reservation that would put you there during the fireworks.

I read that last year they were at 9:30pm, but we don't have the information for this year yet.

We do this for MNSSHP every year. There is just something magical about watching any of the shows from the CG. Have a great trip!

As the PP said, fireworks were at 9:30 pm for the 2015 MVMCP parties (you can see the schedule of events on on Allears.net). They did move the MNSSHP fireworks to 10:00 pm in 2015, so until the official MVMCP schedule is announced, I'd go with fireworks being between 9:30 pm and 10:00 pm in 2016 (just to be safe).

As others have said, the view from California Grill is fun and interesting. The fireworks will generally appear over Space Mountain, but you'll also be able to see the fireworks that go off around the castle.

Thanks, everyone, for your input. I also saw Wishes from CG's dining room a few years ago, but haven't been there for any of the party ones...when my ADR window opens, I'll try for a 8-8:30 resv, and that way, we should be good. They were very good about timing our entrée order around the Wishes event, so I assume they'd do the same for this.

And we loved the menu and food at CG...so, sounds like a perfect fit!!

I'm in the same boat as you!! I read that last year they were at 930p. But if you look at the schedule for the Holiday Wishes Dessert Party (on MVMCP nights) they state that the fireworks are at 10p. I made my reservations at 9. Either way I think it will be fine.
