There is a race of almost equal notoriety on most
DCL cruises...it is called Jack-Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash. In case you can't get the Monte Carlo race on TV, consider this as a fun substitute. It is a series of races held in the atrium during the day (not sure if it has a set time...check the Navigator for details) in which young kids of crawling age, race down a lined course for prizes and loud, but brief, fame. We saw one once on our WBTA that had so few participants that one dad got down on his hands and knees to help deliver a valid final championship round (one of the finalists refused to race...might have been a diaper issue). He gave it his all with many theatrics, slipping and sliding, loss of balance, etc. to the point where he lost the race and the baby won. It was a hoot that everyone on all levels enjoyed for some time. This race is environmentally friendly since no petrol is used or tires abused. Money was not lost (betting, if at all, might have been under cover). Racers hold no grudge against the winners...it's a baby thing.
It made the day for us...it might for you. Good luck!!
