Where is the best place to view the Wishes fireworks in the MK? And do pictures come out well with a regular 35MM camera?

Where is the best place to view Illuminations at Epcot?

Thank you.

Soon to be the MRS.

Wishes was great to watch from the Polynesian resort! I think Wishes was made to be viewed from in front of the castle.

Just wanted to say - I've tried to photograph fireworks many times and find the post cards do a better job of it than I do. Unless, of course, you are attempted to get a shot of a person in the fireworks.

I have heard that the specialty cruises are great ways to view both Wishes and Illuminations. Have not tried it myself to confirm it.

Ressies are hard to come by, so book early.

I was there May 8 Saturday night and I was where they raise the Flag and had a perfect view for both Wishes and Spectromagic. What a show. Be sure and buy the CD of Wishes. You will love it when you need a Disney Fix.

On the subject of photography, it depends how "regular" your camera is. If manual settings are available, set the focus to infinity, use a shutter speed of about 8 seconds and use a high speed film- 400 or 800. If using shutter speeds like this, a tripod is needed too- or at least a ledge to lean the camera onto.

Just back from our trip and saw Wishes on Tues nite. We found the bridge between Tomorrowland and Main Street to be a pretty good location. Just be sure you're not behind the trees. There are some benches along there, if you get there early enough and want to sit down. I also think the 2nd little bridge into Tomorrowland would be a good spot, as there didn't seem to be the trees in the way. Whereever you are, you're gonna love it. My 19 yo neice was in awe and I was thrilled to be able to "share" the magic with her!

For Wishes, I agree that the bridge from Tomorrowland and the Castle offers a wonderful viewing of the fireworks. This is where DH and I always stake out our spot as it is our favorite.

For Illuminations, usually from the United Kingdom around to France you will get an awesome view. I have heard of spots over by Mexico, but they are farther away, so you may not be able to view the Earth as clearly as on the other side of World Showcase Lagoon.
