viewing illuminations while dining

I know there are a few restaurants in Epcot with views of illuminations if you are lucky enough to have good timing and a table with a view.

would anyone know if there are any where diners would be able to "step outside" to view illuminations if they did not have a table with a view?

Thank you!

During Thanksgiving week last year, we saw Illuminations from Rose and Crown. Get there early for your reservation (30 min?) and just ask them for a table with a view. We did the same thing on Thanksgiving week 2015 and they were very accommodating and friendly about it with us. It was great.
I believe people stepped out there as well. It was all pretty casual as I remember.

Outdoor seating at Rose and Crown is probably the only place you can properly see Illuminations.

THe balcony at the Japan pavilion gives good views too, so if you were eating at Tokyo Dining you might be able to step outside, watch and come back in but you would need to be clear with your server that you aren't doing a Dine and Dash!

Spice Road and La Hacienda have lakeside views, but from what I have heard the view isn't good.

You would be better off finishing dinner half hour before illuminations and then finding a space to watch.
