Viewing Disney.com videos from Canada ??

Hi Guys,

Anyone have a way of viewing videos from Disney's site ??

I keep getting the following message:

"We're Sorry ! These Videos are only available to users within the United States."

Anything in XD content is not available for viewing here in Canada. Disney does this to us Canadians in lots of areas: no Disney catalogues, no XD videos, no Disney VISA and no Radio Disney.

I have emailed them, but have never gotten a response on this issue.

Sorry, but with a Canadian IP address, you will not be able to view any of this content while at home in Canada.

You could try one of the IP blocker programs such as IP Hider or Hide my IP. These programs mask your IP and use a US based IP. They are not free but you can preview them for a few days. They do slow down the download though, but you will be able to view the videos. The program can be toggled on or off as you need it.

My understanding of the whole video thing is the CRTC. I could definately be wrong on this but, you cannot download tv shows or videos from iTunes if you are in Canada - Disney or otherwise. You also cannot view any other TV shows or anything from the States on any website that I have fond (i.e. Cartoon Network, NIckelodeon etc) - can you tell I have a kid LOL Like I said, I could be wrong on the reasoning, but it is definately not just Disney.

Maybe you could try using "Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing", which hides your IP address. You can test it at their website:

http://www.anonymizer.com/
