Viewing a shuttle launch and planning a trip

Just got back from our trip last night and I just have to say it: That was freakin' AMAZING!! I still tear up just thinking about it and am amazed that not only did it launch on schedule but that we got to witness this awesome event! All the stress, frustration, waiting, traffic, all worth it! Seriously. Disney world was great too, but it doesn't compare to those two or so minutes of watching Atlantis take off. It made the trip. We did have a great time at Port Orleans Riverside and WDW. Got to see the end of the Flower and Garden festival and got to enjoy WDW at a more relaxed pace this time as this was our 2nd time there. I enjoyed it much more that way. We also had no ADRs and I think that contributed to the more relaxed pace. We saved the stress and rushing for my birthday launch instead. No better way to celebrate a birthday! Thanks for all the help I got from here and whoever sent me to the KSC facebook page as I was able to find a specific group for this launch.

Kathy, were you able to watch it go? I hope so!

Yes I got to see it from Titusville. We had a great spot but traffic back to Orlando was terrible. We tried coming back on 50 and it took us 5 hours to get back instead of a little more than an hour.

Of course we will be there for the next one too!
