We just got back a week and a half ago and I booked our next trip in Nov at HRH! It's our first time staying there - we've been at both RPR and PBR before. I booked garden view because we won't be hanging out in the room much. But looking at the maps, do the higher rooms on the west side of the hotel have a view of the park? It looks like some might. And the ones on the east have a view of the canal? I'm too excited for a trip that's 10 months away! :cool1:

Keep in mind the pool plays (LOUD) music until 11pm. We actually switched from a pool view to garden view when we realized how loud it was. We had a lovely view of the butterfly garden and the canal, and requested the same view on our second trip.

They are renovating the outside of the hotel so there are a lot of views obstructed by scaffolding now. Hopefully they will be long done by November but just something to be aware of. They are putting people in the obstructed view rooms and not discounting the rooms or telling you in advance. We complained and they moved us.

I was just going to post this, too - Pool View rooms are horrendously loud - all day & into the night! We didn't realize this during our Christmas trip & WOW - major bummer - never again :scared:!

Love the HRH but, as with most of the onsite resorts, the last thing I want is a park view room. Admittedly, in the minority here. When we retreat back to the resorts at U, I want to enjoy their specific vibe & theming; which doesn’t include the parks.

I’ve declined ‘upgrades’ there for exactly that reason. What’s odd is during trip when the pool was shut down early evening due to heavy storms; not only did they keep the music playing, they didn’t lower the volume.:confused3

I found online is basically the same as what we saw from the room:
:scratchin have had our share of them, can’t say I ever remember being up quite that high. I wonder if that is a PR pic taken from on top of the roof.

We definitely saw the upper parts of Dr. Doom's Fearfall, Hulk, and Rip Ride Rocket from the room.
Yes, we’ve caught the uppermost lights of RRR at night off in the distance too.

SF has a few suites (i assume rooms?) that were closer than I expected to Hulk. It’s interesting how the Orlando parks are laid out. almost like puzzles. Fun to pull up satellite imagery to see how they position things.

We don’t have a pool view - its garden view. But I was kind of hoping we’d have a chance to see the parks if we’re on the west side of the resort.

@keishashadow, I hear you on wanting to escape. For us it’s nice to see the parks from a distance. We stayed at RPR a few times and had a view of IOA. I found it exciting to get to seeing the rides running for tests in the morning and it helped get the kids out of bed.
