Video vs photos -Any regrets?

While I took a TON of photos during our recent trip I didn't do much video recording. Now I regret it! WHY didn't I take more of my girls enjoying the day? I did the same thing last year.

Anyone else do this? How do you capture the "magic" on video, take plenty of pictures, and still enjoy your time there?

I think next trip we will hire a camera crew for the day..

I have a video camera, but never even take it with me to disney. I never watch them after the fact anyway.

Maybe one thing you could try would be to create a video slide show of your pictures, then it gives you something to watch, they move and zoom, and you can put it to music.

I have a pocket digital that also takes video's and I always make a point to take them when I think a vid would be more appropriate. I also take a Dslr and use it on days when I really want higher quality photo's and want to spend the time taking pictures. My son uses a video camera and takes what ever he wants. I wind up making DVD's of the trip using both stills and video when I get the time.

On our last trip I took the camera every day and took the video camera parts of two days. I always feel when I have the video camera that I miss alot because I am so busy filming. I wll do the same again this next trip and see how it goes......

I have a digital camera that also takes video. I like having the clips much better than having a full video so I can intersperse pics with video.

We did this on our Disney cruise this past summer, and I am still editing. I can also take pics while I'm video taping so it's fun to see the pics after the video or video after the clips. I just wish I had taken more video.
