Great video! Just watched with my family and it's really getting us excited for our upcoming trip! Great evening pics of your family on the beach - were those taken by a PhotoPass photog?
Thanks! the family photos on the beach and the underwater photos of us in Rainbow Reef were photopass photos. Going to rainbow reef during feeding (10:30am and 1:30pm when we were there) was great, that's when the photopass person was there.
Loved the video! Thanks for sharing!
What type of a camera did you use? Was it a Go Pro type camera or just the camera on your phone?
We used lots of cameras and phones.
1. We each have a cell phone. so many photos and video were shot with those. We each had a waterproof case we bought on
amazon (

2. we bought 2 GoPro knock offs (
http://amzn.to/1M0Lrrr) - We used this for most of the underwater videos. The video with the fish eye effect used these. These camera were great because they were cheap, but the user interface was terrible, the battery life was terrible and one of them just stopped working....glad we had two. We bought this accessory kit (
http://amzn.to/1TiYpCe) - One bit of advice for these. All of the attachments were very confusing, so take plenty of time at home before your trip figuring out how you are going to use everything and get organized.
3. The zipline and parasail companies both offered a photo package, so we bought both of those. We ziplinned at
ClimbWorks, it was great, the highlight of our trip.
4. We purchased the photopass CD at Aulani
5. We had our "good" point and shot camera, a Canon G9 and took a total of 4 photos with it. lol
When we got home I worked quickly to get them all into one place on our computer, especially my daughters phones to ensure they were all saved and backed up. Then she had access to everything to make this video.
Great video thanks for sharing. You might want to look into music copyright laws about using that song. We do underwater video and have to be real careful what music we use if we post it in public, i.e. youtube, here, etc. You probably won't have any problems just warning you.
Youtube is great, when you upload the video they detect all the music and handle any copyright issues. For the three songs we used they have an agreement with the owner. In these songs case the owner can choose to place ads on the video and they get the revenue.

For example, this video won't be played in 3 different counties, Australia, Germany, New Zealand due to copyright issues.
If posted here or some other sites we would probably have issues, but I think we are okay with YouTube.
