I know this has been asked a lot lately, but what do you do with your video camera, a small one, that is fragile and could fit in the palm of your hands, when you go on the rides.

I think you need to get one of those pouches you hook onto your waist IMO that is if it can fit in your hand and if it isnt that heavy

My video camera comes with a case that can attached to your belt strap. It's always been the most convenient method for me because the video camera is always easily available.

On a side note, I love taking videos while on the rides especially the roller coaster rides like Big Thunder.

I try to film my son on the rides while riding (he will ride with dad and I will sit it another car if possible, or I will record the ride). I found a great padded hip pack on ebags. Its a bit large, but it holds my then bigger cybershot and bigger video camera (I have since gone smaller with both after lugging them around WDW), some snacks for our son, his autograph book and pen, small souvenirs (ie pins), my credit card, $, drivers license, room key, etc. Most of the time though I ended up hanging my camera from a lanyard around my neck and carrying my video since it was hard to get to in a hurry. Check out ebags though, they have a ton of styles. Also, bring a ziploc bag for those water rides or rainy days!

My husband bought a fanny-pack style camera case last year specifically to use at Disney. It has extra padding and fits a small video camera, extra batteries and video cards, my Elf camera and a small compartment that holds 3 rolls of film. It was waterproof/repellent and not too cumbersome to wear. In past years, I just put my Elf camera in my fanny pack and we lugged around a much larger video camera that we either left in the stroller, which is of course inviting trouble, or at the hotel (why we eventually bought a palm-held video camera).

I carry mine in a medium sized water proof bag that carries like a purse. We put our water bottles in, video camera, rain gear and a few snacks. I then can place this in between my legs or under the seat for the ride ut when I can film the ride, I usually do. As stated above, don't forget to bring zip lock bag for protect it from water rides or occasional rain shower.
