Hey! Wanting to go to V&a with my family for my birthday this november. Wondering how strict they are about kids- and if they would be allowed if we opted for the chefs table? My husband and I are chefs- so my seven year old would 100% eat all given to him and my 5 year old would happily be quiet next to us on her quiet iPad. If it's a hard no- does anyone know anything about childcare options at Disney? We re staying st the beach Club Thanks!

It's a hard no. 10 and up. Maybe call the BC front desk (well, the FD call center) and see if they suggest any child care services. They used to have kids clubs on property, but I'm not sure that returned after covid. I think a company called "Kids Night Out" is used on property. You could probably Google them to see.

We used a baby sitting service when we went. I think it was called fairy god mothers.. they brought games and toys and the kids enjoyed it. Chef table is very hard to get and I’ve also read that now it requires a reservation minimum of 4 and a max of 6.

I’m not sure the requirement is true. I called inquiring about availability, was added to the waitlist, and was not told about a minimum guest count.

Definitely a hard no - I've been many times and they are very strict with the 10+ age option unfortunately. I'd do a babysitting service and enjoy your night!

Definitely no, we wanted to do that years ago when my youngest was 8 they said no, Just me and my wife went then but when he was 13 we took all 3 of my sons... great experience for them, costly for us !!!!....lol

I know this is contentious, but I wish every Disney restaurant and theme park had occasional adult only (18+) days/nights
It is hard enough for them to enforce at the few places that do have age limits. I was just at Monsieur Paul's in May, which also has an age limit of 10. There was one family with a child who really did not look 10 to me (although, obviously, eyeballing it is not an accurate way of determining age) who were loudly demanding a kids' menu and clearly angry when one was not available. The kid very clearly was not happy with his meal, given the "tantrum-adjacent" behavior that occurred when he saw his entree.

OP, I do hope you will return to V&As with your kids in a few years! Sounds like they would fit right in, the people-watching and music is wonderful.

Did you call? Or get lucky online?
Chef’s table isn’t bookable online. I had to call, we were actually just trying to get the normal dining room (at 60 plus 10) and there was nothing available.
The CM said the reservation system was not working properly. And to just wait and check the website periodically. I didn’t want to do that so I asked about Chef’s table.

Is the plus 10 because you were staying onsite? Sounds like you really lucked out.

oy vey- I cannot with children like that. Makes us families that bring our kiddos everywhere look bad. Eek. I cannot wait to return when they are older. My son is 7, so just a few more years for him :)

Yes, staying on property for over 10 day stay so I was able to book all dining reservations for my entire stay up to 10 days (which rolled each additional day).
I mean Chefs table was a bucket list item but likely a one and done at that price and exclusiveness.
