I'll be dining at V&A's for the first time next weekend. I know the menu changes daily based on what is fresh, and what ingredients are in season. I was wondering what creations have come out of the kitchen that have tempted your taste buds when you ate there......

There is a soup - butternut squash I think - that is so good I ask for it for one of the courses instead of an appetizer as it is usually offered. I think it is one of the best soups I have ever had in my life.

I have to agree with the above poster about the soup! I don't even like butternut squash! I tried it because I was paying for it...it was delicious! I had more of a basic menu than my fiancee because I am very picky...there was not one thing on the menu that I didn't like! He is a foodie and loved it all as well...I went with a steak dish as my main course and it was great...Anything you order you will love!

I loved the Lobster Bisque and the ELK which shocked me! That elk was better than any fillet that I've ever had - amazing.

Everything was outstanding, those are just the two that I remember the most, partly because I was surprised that I liked them so much.

I remember a huge sea scallop a few years back. I am not a fan of scallps at all! But it was so juicy and flaovorful! It just goes to show you, try it and you might like it! :) I also remember a wonderful crayfish bisque! Mmmmmmmmm!

The last time my DH and I were at Vicotria & Albert's was back in October of 2003. I was newly pregnant with my second child. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the meal like the rest of my group. We had my parent's and my Aunt down to Disney for the first time. I remember ordering the quail. Well it was presented with a fried qual egg on top of the meat. I just about lost it and had to leave the room. My DH says that the quail was wonderful. I wish I had been feeling well enough to try it back then.

We will be at the Chef's Table two weeks from Saturday! :cool1:

LOL that you meention V&A's pregnant. We went to V&A's in April (when I wasn't pregnant) and it was amazing! Our subsequent two trips (October and March) I was pregnant and I couldn't help but wish we could afford to do V&A's for one of those trips. Then I'd comfort myself that my picky pregnant self wouldn't enjoy it very much! :rotfl:

I'd either want to eat it and it'd make me sick, or it'd be an item on the 10,000 things pregnant women shouldn't eat. :)

ENJOY The Chef's Table in two weeks - congrats on snagging that reservation!!
