Victoria & Alberts

Hi gang,
Padalyn and I are celebrating our 5th at Victoria and Alberts later this month. Neither of us have been there. We already told them we have different surnames (for the menus). Anyone here have any experiences with V&A to share with us?

No, only "hearsay" from folks we know who have been. All have been glowing reviews with the exception of one incident, once.

Will look forward to hearing all about it. We've thought of going, but were never too sure...

I've eaten there numerous times over the years and have never had any issues. Although sometimes I think we got better attention from 'Albert' than 'Victoria'! We've always had a wonderful experience. Just be aware this is about a 3hr meal, and you'll probably want [or need] to walk the grounds of the resort before going back to bed. I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience. They usually have a live harpist which adds a very nice elegant touch.

I agree, I ate there with DBF for our 2 year anniversary and it was fantastic. I called ahead and had the harpist learn "come what may" and he played it during dinner. We also ordered a wonderful cake, probably the best cake I've ever had. It was spectacular.

I hope to get DBF down here for our 4th anniversary and go to VA again. I'd spend the money in a heart beat

Color me jealous. This is something that I would love to do, but Corey is such a picky eater, I just don't see it ever happening for us and it's not the sort of thing that I would ever do alone.

Thanks. Our anniversarry is actually on Valentines Day. So this is the icing on the cake for our celebration. I can't wait. I am a major league foodie, and a wine lover to boot. I am a believer in the slow food movement and look forward to a 3 hour meal.
