Hi Everyone :grouphug:

Has anyone here ever been to Victoria & Albert's with their significant other? :flower3: Adrian :lovestruc and I were thinking of going, but not sure if we would feel uncomfortable? :confused3 Are they welcoming towards same-sex couples at V & A ? :cloud9: Thanks! :goodvibes

I cant think of one place at WDW where I would be uncomfortable.

(Well the Suntrust bank comes to mind, but thats an inside joke!):lmao:

Make your ressies, go, and enjoy! :thumbsup2

Hi!
My hubby and I went to V and A last year. Awesome experience for us. I noticed a gay couple across from us who were celebrating their 20th year together. They seemed to get the same awesome treat as us, as they should. Best meal in WDW. Loved the harp music, my rose, and personalized menus. You gotta go! You will love it. Enjoy!

...just don't go expecting a rose! :-)

well lets see...

DBF and I went to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. I called ahead of time and made sure they knew it was our anniversary, so they printed special menus for us indicating the celebration.

Then I called the Vic and A's office and requested that the harp player learn the moulin rouge version of come what may.

Then I ordered a celebration cake for desert.

The meal was fantastic, the atmosphere was superb, the harp player played our song, and the service was excellent. As with any area in Disney, we were treated the same as everyone else, but here I felt even more secure because of the small, quiet environment. That place is sound proof. The only time we ever heard anything in the noisy lobby was when the door was opened.

This was on xmas eve 2007 btw. We unfortunately had to hurry through desert and celebration because we had booked a wishes fireworks cruise for after dinner.

interestingly enough, there was another gay couple celebrating somewhere in the range of 20 years. They appeared to be regulars every year and were quite friendly with the wait staff and cook.

All in all, if you can throw down the bills, it's an excellent experience.

My partner and I went a couple of years ago for my birthday and both the food and the service were excellent. One of the best experiences I've had at WDW.

I took my partner to V&A for his birthday after our DCL trip to the Western Caribbean in 2006. We were also with our friend, Sue, who went with us on the cruise.

Our wait staff could not have been more pleasing and professional during our meal. We engaged them in conversation and learned that one of them was CA, where we are from.

As others have said, if you can afford to dine at V&A, then you should go for it. It will be a once in a life time experience. It was a great departure from routine Disney dining and with only two seatings per night you are not rushed. The wait staff only serves two tables and they are across the room from each other so your staff appears and disappears which is great for table conversation and when they are with you, they are totally focused on you and not hoping back and forth. Also, be sure to have the wine paring with your meal. Enjoy ... you will not regret it.
