No i have NEVER been to V&A's...Seeing as i am staying at "The Grand Floridan RPC" over Christmas & New Year its one of those things that i need to do With Christmas Day being "The Day" It is my birthday when we are there but still i want to celebrate Xmas at V&A's Looking forward to hearing what u think about it in Aug You don't have long
Hi, I have been enquiring as we will be trying to get a ressie for Christmas day ourselves
The menu will be as normal no special Christmas menu. As will the price $125 per person, add $60 for wine pairing and they will not be accepting the Tables In Wonderland card on Christmas Day. Remember to add in tax at 6% and tip (we always do at least 20% here as the service is incredible).
They will also have the Queen Victoria Room availible and if you were lucky enough to score it, Chef's Table.
Just a heads up I would not rely on anyone to get your V and A booking for you. They have a special number for you to call and that's what I would advise. A friend recently relied upon one of Disney's hotel concierge's to secure her a reservation and they said no problem. They were unable to get her the day she wanted or in fact any day on her vacation (Not V and A but another highly popular resturant). It's of course your choice but I personally will be calling 180 days out. I'm not sure if you get the +10 at V and A's but hopefully you will be able to.
Good luck! Maybe we will see you there
I am sure you already have this link but just in case. http://www.victoria-alberts.com/index.html
Wow, that will be a Christmas dinner that you will never forget. We have eaten there twice - the first time was our Wedding reception and then again on our first anniversary.
The food is absolutely unbelievable, but I think the thing that I remember most about it all is the service. They tell you load of details you about the food and where it was sourced from, and go out of their way to make you feel special, it is incredible. I would also highly recommend the wine pairings.
We've been to top class restaurants in London and whilst the food has been good, they lack the same quality of service as V & A.
I would love to go as I think the service and experience will certainly be memorable - but having looked at the menu I know my palate isn't thay refined - I must be very limited in my tastes (think fish & chips)
I wanted to pop back in here and add that we did get our Xmas Day ressie
There is in fact a surcharge of $20 making the meal $145 instead of the usual $125 pp and the lady who took my ressie was pretty sure, although not certain, I would not be able to use our TIW card.
