Has anyone ever sat in the back room, where the fireplace is? Is it more intimate or are there usually larger parties seating in there? I saw a picture of that room and it looks very cozy.

Which would you prefer? Sitting in the main room or in the back room? Any information would be appreciated. My DH and I are going this Friday 2/25 to celebrate our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and we are very excited.

Thanks as always. :flower:

Normally the back room is saved for two prposes. It has a capacity for 12 people.

Since the regular tables have "swing outs", they can accomodate a group of six as a "round". They will put a part of seven to 12 in the back room.

If there is someone who for secrecy or security reasons (such as Michael Jackson or Michael Eisner) needs to be isolated from general view they will be put in that room.

I personally think the main room is nicer.

By chance, we were seated in the "back room" the first time we dined at V&A. It was nice, but I think the main room is nicer, since you have the live music right there. ::MinnieMo

The only time I have eaten there was with a large group and we ate there. I loved it. (Of course I loved that it was free to me also!)

We've been in that back room at least twice--maybe 3 times. It is pretty and there are nice portraits of Victoria and Albert on the wall.
But I agree that the main room is nicer, and you do get to see/hear the harpist much better. You can get the feeling in that back room that you are a bit out of the mainstream at V&A--even tho you aren't really.
Our last trip there we sat in the back room because that's where Nancy (our favoriet Victoria) was working that evening.

Thank you all for your responses.

I didn't know you could ask for a certain waiter/waitress?

We, too, prefer the main dining room. The smaller room is more intimate, but I felt as if we were isolated.

I like the back room. The groups I go with, we're not usually terribly quiet when we've had a few courses with wine pairings.

We always ask for a favorite server (if we have one) at all the spots we go in WDW.
