Victoria & Albert - Chef's Table - Party of One

I've wanted to dine at the chef's table at Victoria & Alberts for quite some time. I've saved up my money and waited & waited & waited for someone to come and join me on a trip. Usually no one wants to go or has the money to go.

Anyway, I've reached the point where I'm just going to go. I know I can't make a reservation for one, but if I make a reservation for two, pay for two and say nothing, can I just show up and be like, "Surprise, I'm just a party of one!" As long as I pay for two, they can't really say anything, right?

I was a table for one at a 'joint' in New Orleans.

I was seated at a table with another fella' who was table for one.

We shared our plates and it was one of the best dining experiences of my life.

My wife & I will be there the week of Halloween; back in early April.

You should be able to make a reservation for one without a problem, as long as you are the first person wanting the Chefs Table to call in. No reason to pay for two, especially for a $200 dinner.
