Unfortunately, my oldest turns 18 two days before our next cruise. He’s always enjoyed the clubs and spent time around the ship w/ the friends he made there. How did your kids do after graduating from the kids clubs? Did they try the 1820 meet ups? Not sure my son will want to… His three siblings will also be on the trip, so he doesn’t have to be alone, but he also likes a break from them…

Our son was 19 on his first cruise. He had a great time in the (what's now called) the 1820 Society. It can hit or miss with this group. There's usually a 1820 Society organizational meeting the first night onboard. That's where all those interested in "doing something" while onboard meet with the DCL CM who's facilitating the group and set up a plan/schedule. If no one shows up for that meeting (or only one or two people do) the group never gets off the ground. In my son's case they had a fairly large group (about 20) that didn't necessarily do everything together, more often breaking off in groups of 5-8. We basically only saw him at dinner (my requirement for the cruise) and when he'd get back to the room for bed.

That said, and 18 year old can participate in the adult activities onboard, also (except for alcoholic drinks), so there's still things that he can do, if he's interested.
