Is Via Napoli worth the 1TS credit? Any suggestions appreciated. TIA

in January (OOP) & I was not much impressed although DD liked it. We're going to try it for a meal instead in Aug. I think its worth TRYING again. As to being worth 1 TS credit, it's no LESS worth a TS than many others we've tried - for instance (IMHO) H & V, Coral Reef, 'Ohana. Remember, opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one!! :thumbsup2

We're trying it in August. I heard they are serving slices at a window as CS credit but only until end of May :(. Does anyone know why? I would love to have a slice for lunch.

I heard the slices they sell at CS is not the same pizza that they serve in the restaurant.

we've eaten there several times now...love the pizza there. NOT anything like pizza hut or other chains, though. Thin crust, flamed...and the toppings do not taste like American version of pizza.

We definitely think it's worth a TS credit, especially if you have a way to transport extra pizza (they will make you order an individual pizza per person on the dining plan...or use 2 credits to order a large pizza for two people to share. Either way it's a LOT of pizza.) We schedule our Via Napoli for the night or day we're leaving...and then always order the 2 individual pizzas and take about 1/2 of it with us for next day back at our condo.

Thank You, I think we will try doing that. Thanks for the imput!;)

we were there two weeks ago and just weren't impressed. dh got peperoni, and i got the eggplant, mushroom, and artichoke it was not that great.

I have posted this in another thread here, but I want to do it again here. Please don't expect a nice crispy crust. The crust will be thin and a little on the floppy side. go in knowing this and you'll enjoy it. I got the seafood pasta when I went in March. It was great!!!

I love Via Napoli and strongly recommend it. I have criticized Disney's pizza for years, and I'm happy to say there finally is a restaurant on property that gets it right. It's not the classic New York slice I'm accustomed to, but it's an authentic Neopolitan style pie -- thin dough baked in a extremely hot oven, topped with a tomato-based sauce and a smattering of fresh mozzarella. If you're perception of pizza is the American chains like Papa John's and Domino's, you're in for a real treat at Via Napoli.

We tried it last year when it had it soft opening and thought it was the best pizza served at WDW. Just today I made a lunch reservation there for our Oct. visit. I only made 3 ADRs and it was a must do for us.:)

We are pizza kinda people and we hated all the pizza at WDW, until Via Napoli, we had it on NYE and LOVED it. There is only one other pizza place I like better and it is in Nashville (we stop there on the way home from WDW each time!) 3 of us ordered the individual pizzas, they were plenty big and very good, DD11 ordered pasta and she was happy with it. I was hesistant to order the ricotta dessert, but wow! it is wonderful and if your on DDP, I reccomend trying it. I cant wait til we go back, this is now a must do for us. :thumbsup2

Now I am Italian, grew up in a very ethnic town and I could eat pizza everyday (and look it!!!!). I hated the pizza at VN, not that anywhere else on property is better. The crust was really good but the sauce was runny tomato flavored water with random spots of not-melted-enough mozzarella. This is just not my idea of good pizza. Of course we must remember that pizza is not a dish invented in Italy. It just happens to be made with Italian ingredients. I went to Italy a couple of times in my youth and remember not liking the pizza there either. Where I live now, the best pizza (IMHO!!!) is made by Greeks.

I really like it...we ate there three times in one trip Nov 10 and loved it. Went back in Feb 11 and DH was not that happy with it but I really enjoyed it

What's the one place you go in Nashville? I might have to go check it out.

On the menu, the pizza options are very "unusual". Can you order just plain sausage pizza?

Besides pizza, what else have you enjoyed at VN?

TIA!
