Hello,

We have the Disney dining plan for this Dec. We're thinking about eating at the Via Napoli Ristorante. Is the pizza really that good? It seems the pizza is very expensive. any thoughts

Thanks

On the DDP, you will have to order individual pizzas. Every person in your party will have to use a credit; you cannot pool credits to buy a big pizza, and you cannot use a credit and divide an entree between 2 people.

Thank you for all of the Info. We are going to definitely give it a shot. I think I'll just pay out of pocket and that way we can split a large pie.

Thanks again

Pizzas are really good and you can order a "family" salad with the pizza..they have lightly fried veggies for an appetizer which are also good.....fyi - it is a very loud restaurant!

Via Napoli is a must for us! Yes. It is that good! Enjoy!

Hopefully, the it will be a "good" night for VN. The pizza is really good when they're "on", but can be very average when not. Most inconsistent restaurant on property, IMO.

VN is the only restaurant we eat at multiple times on our trips. It is my DD14's favorite pizza in the world - and that kid knows pizza! We have never had a bad pizza there, seriously I think every pizza has tasted exactly the same - super delicious! The restaurant IS loud, but it's part of the charm IMHO. The only thing I don't like about it - we have yet to have good service there. We've had better service from the busboys there than the servers. The individual is enough for me and my DD to share. I'll get an appetizer just to make sure I get enough, but that's the perfect size for the 2 of us. We typically get a large when my DH is with us, but we have leftovers and I won't get it to go (and I feel bad because I hate throwing it away because it is sooooo good!)

I'm not a huge fan. Pizza , I find ok but not the best I have ever had by any means. It's very loud and chaotic, even for a in park restaurant. My biggest complaint is that if someone orders something besides pizza it comes from another kitchen and comes out well before the pizza does. Other than that, service is good and the cherry ice cream sundae I had last trip was delicious.

Love, love, love Via Napoli!!! It is a must do every time. Since we don't do the DDP, we always order a large pizza and have them make one half a certain type and the other half another type and it is more then enough for our family of 4. We also love the arancini appetizer. Because we share our large pizza, Via Napoli becomes one of the least expensive TS restaurants that we eat at :goodvibes.

We are on dining plan and going to try it first time as well. We also decided just to pay OOP.

A must-do for us to every year. We order a pizza metro between 3 of us, it's so big it sits on a stand so there's room for our plates. 6 months and counting until I can have another.

The pizza is great & it's a must do for my family now. I agree with those that have said service isn't great & it is loud in there but worth it for us. Our servers have always been very nice but we've had to ask for a lot of things that we shouldn't have to (drinks, bread then they brought the bread which was dry without any butter or oil & we had to ask for that, brought the pizza without plates & had to ask for those then she forgot & had to ask again)...very nice girl but forgetful.

I just wanted to add that I know they don't allow sharing on the dining plan, but both times we've dined there we've done a combination of OOP & dining plan without any problems. This last time a few weeks ago we only had 1 TS credit left so I used that to order an individual white pizza & then we ordered a large pepperoni & sausage for DH & 3 DS's to split. We all shared both pizzas & the dessert that came with the dining plan meal. If we used 5 TS credits & got 5 individual pizzas AND 5 desserts that would be WAY too much food but paying totally OOP seems high for pizza especially if you throw in a few $10-$12 desserts. Doing a combo of OOP & dining plan works well for us.

Via Napoli is one of our favorites now. We tried it for the first time last November, and we went back last week. Both times, it was excellent. We got a large pizza that worked out well between the 3 of us. It was plenty of pizza for 3 people!! In September, we are going back with 6 people total, so excited to get the really big pizza. :yay:

Good idea! This way you can add another restaurant to your list to use up those credits. The food here is incredible!!! Both pizza and pasta are amazing. I have been eating here every trip since the restaurant opened. They've always been consistently delicious. The candele pasta is my fave, soooo good. For the pizza's, i absolutely love the quattro fromaggi. :goodvibes For dessert the tiramisu and zeppolle are to die for.

Most inconsistent? Funny i've been going every single trip since the restaurant opened, and its always been consistently delicious every time. Its my fave restaurant on property. Never had an issue with the food here. Sorry your experience wasnt good.

I absolutely love their pizza! It is so good, I'm dreaming of going back there again on our next trip.
Like some others have mentioned, the service can be awfully slow. I'm not sure what it is, but every time we've been there the service is slow and forgetful. But the pizza is too good to miss.

Ate there last Tuesday night. Probably the dozenth time or more I've eaten there. I know what I'm talking about. The pizza last Tuesday was very soggy in the middle. It was good. Not bad. Not great. Just good.

Yes, most inconsistent. I realize that you love VN and take every opportunity to defend it against any negative comments, but you cannot ignore the comments made by many here (certainly not just me) who find the pizza to be "less than really good" to "not so good" on multiple occasions. Lots of way too burned crust and soggy reports out there to ignore.

I hate that you (apparently) live in a city as large as Toronto and still find VN to be the best pizza you've ever had. Doesn't say much for the quality of pizza places in a city like Toronto. I live in a much smaller town and we have a locally owned brick oven pizza place that blows VN away...and several others that are much better within an hour's drive here on the Gulf Coast of Alabama/Florida.

Some people who dislike VN dislike it because it's a Neapolitan pizza, which is a specific style and to those used to thick, doughy pies baked for long periods, it is not always something they like.

Some of the criticism, though, is the inconsistent delivery of the style. A mushy middle means the oven is inconsistently heated, if I am not mistaken.

Lots of people love this place. We do not. Didnt like the pizza, didnt like the non pizza entrees, didnt like the service, didnt like the atmosphere.
