We are going to Disney in July and currently have an ADR for Via Napoli. We have never eaten there.

For reference we love Italian and are not super picky people We like the basics like Olive Garden though we know its not "Great". We have eaten (years ago) at Tony's at MK and were fine with it. Just basic eaters :)

I keep seeing that to some travelers, Via Napoli has gone down hill. When I made the ADR, I debated between VN and Tuttu Italia and we like things on the menu at both places. So I was reaching out here for opinions - particularly if anyone had recent ones.

For reference - Its myself, DH, and my DD who is 13. It's our Epcot day, we are staying at Beach Club, and we do have park hoppers. I'm not sure any of that information is needed at all but I'm adding it incase :)

I have always liked Via Napoli better than Tutto Italia. It seems like they have dishes from different parts of Italy and I prefer the type of cuisine at Via Napoli. If you have never been, you should try it once since you say you are not super picky. I like their pasta dishes and usually get one of those, but we have had the pizza and enjoyed it as well. I miss their lasagna . . .

It really depends on what menu items interest you most. I prefer VN as I think the pizza and salads are delicious. If you are looking for more substantial meals, perhaps Tutto is the way to go, however, we much prefer Il Mulino if we want a non-pizza Italian meal.

Tutto Italia is amazing. Their lasagne is outstanding and my husband dreams about it😂 We were there a few months ago and I got the chicken parm. It was nothing fancy but, that piece of chicken was the best piece of chicken I have ever eaten. EVER! (It tasted like chicken used to taste before the hormones and horrible feed etc).
I have eaten at Via Napoli as well. It is also very good so you really can not go wrong with either choice.

I personally consider these two on par with each other. No surprise there, as they're both run by Patina group - who also runs Space 220, Maria & Enzo's, Enzo's Hideaway, Edison, and Morimoto.

Another Italian choice if you can't get into those, along with Il Mulino at Swn & Dolphin, is Trattoria Al Forno at Boardwalk. They were always 'average' at best, but I think stepped up in quality a bit since the pandemic - they reduced and focused the menu and food quality and presentation has gone up IMHO.

They are both simply OK. Wasn’t great. Wasn’t bad.

Pizza was just not good at Via like years ago

Tutto is passable but not amazing by any means. You won’t hate it. It will fill you up and will satisfy you

Via I don’t want to go to again

Are you looking to share a pizza? If so that’s gonna be VN. Reports have indeed been mixed on them lately. I had a not great meal in Dec but then I had a nice meal in April. I wouldn’t let the bad reports scare me off if I was looking for TS pizza. If you want non-pizza meals I’d lean towards TI. VN can get a hectic vibe with all the noise from families echoing throughout which is fine when everyone is grabbing slices but a bit weird when you’re just eating a nice meal.

Let it be known that reports are mixed because people have different views on what "good pizza" is. This is a Neapolitan pizza, which is a particular type characterized by simple, sparse ingredients and a slightly charred (it's not "burnt") chewy crust. It's not fair to compare it to other styles. I've found Via Napoli's quality and consistency to be top-notch since it opened.

Alas not this time. The vast majority of the mixed reports we saw here were people who had VN in the past so they knew what they were getting. My report was literally the same pizza order 4 months apart, happily the better pizza was the later. The reports appear to be more along the lines of kitchen competency and a couple ingredient downgrades.

Ah, I found the thread from a few months ago link

Well, to update to the responses I have received

1) I realize I STILL have a typo in my Subject. I shall fixt hat shortly :)

2) I should probably have mentioned in my original post that we are on the dining plan. That said, I doubt we will share pizza (I'm not even sure what is and isn't allowed pizza-wise on the dining plan at VN). Maybe 1 of our 3 would do something individual? But I can say we are VERY basic pizza eaters. My daughter likes cheese or pepperoni, my husband is ONLY a sausage eater, and I like sausage/pepperoni/meat lovers.

If there are any new thoughts based on that infomation, I'm all ears :)

I had dinner at Tutto Italia on the 10th and it was fantastic. I had the chicken Parm. Others in the party had lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and the salmon. We all loved our food. Unfortunately, we had the worst server we have ever had at Disney. Three of the four wanted to order dessert, but our server never even asked us. After ignoring us for 45 minutes she came over and dropped off the bill. She seemed fine with all of her other tables so I don’t know what her deal was with us. I did miss the olives they used to bring to the table ☹️

If your family is tired of talking to each other, or if you enjoy talking THIS DAMN LOUD, then VN is for you! ;)
I once sat next to a multi-generational family of like a dozen people who basically yelled everything they said while they let the littles run amuck. And then they all sung a special family grace super loud and clapping was involved because yell-singing was not enough noise. None of the nearby tables needed to worry about talking to each other for the duration of that meal :rotfl2:

This is the point where I begin to yodel.:p

We are trying Tutto Italia for dinner this year. Have not been since it was Alfredo’s. Usually we pick Via Napoli for lunch and get pizza. After mapping out our park plans with the dining plan, I needed a world showcase dinner instead of lunch. My group didn’t feel like doing pizza for dinner, so decided to give Tutto Italia a try. I thought our pizza wasn’t as good on our September visit, it was almost raw dough so I wanted to give via Napoli a break anyway.

I would echo the idea of going to Trattoria al Forno - an easy walk from the IG EPCOT entrance, and quite good food.

I will look into this. We are staying at Beach Club and most likely will take an afternoon break and head out in time to eat dinner - so in theory it could as easily be at the Boardwalk as it is Epcot.
