Via Napoli - extra meals?

I have Via Napoli planned for our last dinner before the long drive home. We will be on the deluxe dining plan. If we have extra dining credits, is it possible to order more meals then diners? We would take the leftovers to eat on the road. I am not planning to have extra credits but want to have a plan in place in case we do.

Of all wdw restaurants, I have heard Via Napoli is one of the strictest. I am interested to hear the answer too! We never have any leftover credits so this is a unique problem for me.

With the current "rumored" changes to the DDP, it's hard to say what is the current policy. In the past, Via Napoli was one of the places that was least likely to allow flexibility in the DDP. Being a third party location, they adhered to the "rules" of the plan as closely as possible. So, at this point, I would not count on being able to order extra meals at VN. That might change in the future if Disney starts to official allow guests to purchase "extra" meals with their DDP.
