Hi, we are on the basic DDP and would like to know what our dinner choices are at Via Napoli?

If I want pizza, do I have to get the individual pizza that cost $17.00 as my entree? It seems like a waste of table service to only use $17.00 as my table service meal. I am not interested in any of the other more expensive entrees that I can choose from.

TIA.

Hi there,

Unfortunately Via Napoli is NOT on the dining plan, however Tutto Italia is (as well as all the other restaurants in EPCOT as far as I know).

:)My family ate at Via Napoli on the DDP Basic plan, and yes, you can order only the individual pizzas. Our server, Marco, suggested one of the specialty pizzas because if you order the basic, each additional item is not covered, and will cost $2.

The mushroom pizza is super de duper yummy. I also had tiramisu as my desert choice.

I have heard of people combining their "credits" to order a bigger pizza, but we didn't ask, and Marco did not offer as my husband wanted a different type of pizza than I wanted.

My DD10 had the spag and meatballs and was in heaven.

Good meal. We felt it was DDP well spent, but we did get in on the free dining!!!!!:)

It is true that Via Napoli was not originally on the DDP but is was added to the plan later.. :)

You could always just pay oop if you don't feel like it is worth the use of the dining plan.

It is a choice you will have to make. Keep in mind, just because something might cost more it certainly does not make it taste better.

Via Napoli is on the dining plan, and it has been on the plan since it opened.

As far as I know it is not true that you can only order individual pizzas. I believe the server mentioned above gave incorrect information.

On DDP you are not restricted to pizza, you may order any item on the menu.

Here is the breakdown that has been released for pizza orders:

1 TS credit: Individual pizza, beverage and dessert
2 TS credits: Large pizza, 2 beverages, 2 desserts
4 TS credits: 1/2 meter pizza, 4 beverages, 4 desserts

On the deluxe plan, add 1 appetizer per credit used.

This applies only to adult credits. Children's credits can only be used to order from the children's menu.

We just returned home from Disney World last week. We were on the deluxe dining plan and ate at Via Napoli. I would recommend this to everyone, especially pizza lovers!
We had a wide range of menu options...not just pizza! We did end up with two individual pizzas and paid extra for the toppings for one. I had the 4 cheese specialty pizza without sauce. Even my kids were in love with this one!! AMAZING! Not just the taste, but the portion of the individual could easily feed two mediocre eaters. The dessert....WOW! The tiramisu was also my choice and it was delish and enough for the table to of 3 kids and two adults to share!

Loved Via Napoli!

Now I am totally confused. Went to the Disney Restaurant Reservation site and when I went to confirm a reservation at Via Napoli it said that this restaurant does not accept DDP. So what is the true story?? Should I call Disney Dining and make a reservation thru them to get the DDP accepted?

Thanks!

Yes, go ahead and call. If you look at tehinfo on the resaturant at the Disney dining site, if you look at the overview, it lists it on the right side sa accepting Dining plans. Also, I just did a search for tomorrow to book ressie, and I clicked the "select only Dining plan restaurants", and it offered me a ressie tomorrow at 4, so it is working. So maybe call direct if you are still having problems.

Awesome! So where was this info released? Haven't seen anything on it, so would love to go check it out and have a way to verify this info if a CM says no... :)

When I booked it for May the CM told me that it is 1 credit on the dining plan, you know that little speil they give for each restuarant you book, like park admission is required, etc.

Also, when I look online at WDW's site, it is listed on the brochure for the 2011 deluxe dining plan...I'm not sure where you are seeing that its not. :confused3 It's listed right under the participating Epcot restaurants. I just now went at looked at the brochure for the 2011 basic sining plan and it is listed there as well.

There is a glitch on several restaurants on the WDW dining site. If you go to the actual DDP brochure it DOES list Via Napoli. A lot of time the CMs on the dining lines just look at what's on the WDW site and give incorrect information. You can book online or via phone and use the DDP.

At the top of this forum there is a Sticky for the 2011 Disney Dining Plans . It will take you to the current Dining brochure (at the very bottom of the pdf it will say 121010.) It has all of the up to date and accurate information.

The dining reservation page is filled with errors that Disney hasn't, but should, correct. Via Napoli is on the DDP.

Here is a direct link to the same 2011 DDP brochure:

The website is incorrect. Via Napoli accepts all Disney dining plans with TS credits. This is not the only thing the website is incorrect about concerning the dining plan. You do not have to make the reservation any particular way in order to get DDP accepted; the restaurant will accept it regardless of how you made the reservation.

Asking a phone agent won't help...they apparently use the same website to get their information.

Use the brochures, not the website.

As for the information about the pizza, if a CM denies you that breakdown at the restaurant, all you can do is ask for a manager. That information was released by Via Napoli to unofficial sources. You will not find it on any official website or brochure from Disney. (Via Napoli is not operated by Disney)

How large is the large pizza? Would it feed 3 people if we added an app?
