Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? We are trying to convert our vhs tapes to dvd. We tried my digital video camera, but it only has a video/audio out jack. Does anyone know of a wire that has audio/video output into usb? Or any converters that can do this? Thanks!

I wanted to make a video for my sister of all our disney trips with pictures and video but of course, they were all on VHS. Anyway, I bought THIS and it worked great. Exactly what I needed it for.

I still have it hooked up and use it as my DVD player and when my niece comes over and pulls out my old Disney VHS tapes, we can put that on too. It can also record from TV, which I've actually used more than I ever thought I would. Best 90 bucks I ever spent! :thumbsup2

if you hook up a VCR to your TV and also hook up a DVD burner to your tv, you can use the burner to record it. If they are one in the same, however, it will not do it because of an embedded code in the VHS tape.

That embedded code (Macrovision protection) is only present on videotapes that you're not allowed to make copies or transfers of, anyway. Your own home movie videotapes, which are the only ones that you're allowed to copy or transfer to disc, should not have Macrovision protection.
