Hi
We booked a VGT stateroom still not assigned yet

Will we received luggage tag at home ? I am under a month and still not received

You may receive blank tags, in which case once you have your cabin assignment, just write the cabin number on the tags. If you don't end up receiving them before your cruise the porters will have blank tags to write your cabin number on.

I've seen a lot of reports of not receiving tags in the mail. It's definitely not unusual to get your assignment around the 2 week mark if you look at the pinned cabin assignment thread.

I know it’s usual about the stateroom but I was hoping for the luggage tags

We got our luggage tags like a week before sailing. There are just so many cancellations and movements that were happening at this point, they didn't want to print out unnecessary tags.

We are sailing on Saturday and have not received luggage tags ☹️ We were a gty room and the room number popped up when we did our online check in at 30 days

Worst-case the porters at the pier or the people with the DCL bus will have tags that you can fill out.

DCL is honestly one of if not the last lines to actually mail physical tags. Most now send you something you have to print and create the tags yourself.

We leave in 10 days and have not received our luggage tags. Our TA sent out an email telling us there was a glitch after the upgrade so they probably won’t come. We are also VGT and received our assignments last week. It was 14 days before our sail date. In the past it was about 10. We were happy with our assignment.

Quick update I got my luggage tags sent by next day air today for our fantasy sailing this Saturday so they are trying to get them out.

What is VGT?
Verandah Guarantee - its a fully pre-paid discounted rate available on some cruises as they get closer to sailing. It guarantees you a verandah cabin somewhere on board, but you don't get to pick the cabin, location or category.

Never received luggage tags for my cruise last week or in January. Cabin was not assigned until about 4 days before cruise but got a great verandah cabin on Deck 7....

Yep, took DCL transfers from a hotel in Miami and the DCL rep in the lobby had luggage tags that she gave us to put on our bags.

I have a vgt veranda with restrictions of course I knew when I booked and don’t have expectations but one can keep a little hope
do you know
what worst cabin I might have
or best

That sort of depends on what you like.
Generally, a good cabin will be
Midship
Not one deck below the pool deck (sun loungers get moved early in the morning)
Higher deck (other than the one I just mentioned)

A less desirable one is very subjective
Proximity to elevator or distance from certain areas
Located above dining rooms, theaters (noise travels; performers practice during the day or shows end after your bedtime)
Across from crew access areas (lots of loud door slamming)

You can hope for the a Cabin with an oversized balcony.
Or a family Verandah cabin with more square footage.
A nice location
Not a connecting room (sound can come through the door more than if just a wall)

The balcony, itself, is one thing that differentiates what the cruise line considers better
Larger balcony
clear wall (you can see the ocean when looking from the room or sitting on the balcony) v. solid white wall v. Navigator’s Verandah (a wall with only a round opening above waist-level.
(There are people that prefer this, so I can’t say it’s “worse.” Again, it’s your preference.)

I’ve heard stories of cabins near the anchor and the loud noise it makes when being moved.

I have done VGT 3 times since cruising restarted and all three times got a great cabin on Deck 7.....once on the Dream and twice on the Magic. I know there is one or two cabins on the Dream or Fantasy that have a very tiny odd shaped verandah but I don't recall the cabin #'s...i guess that would be the worst. Most any other verandah cabin would be best I guess!! In the past I have received white wall verandah cabins and I know they are not popular with many but I don't mind them.
