The article is poorly written, it is the new rooms (resort studios) that will have the beverage center. The existing Deluxe Studios in the main DVC building will be refurbished similar to PVB and simply upgrade soft goods and add the Murphy bed.

From DVC's Site

NEW! Resort Studios*
These all-new Studios will sleep up to 5 Guests, with 2 queen-size beds and a day bed. Enjoy luxe touches like quartz countertops, ornate crown molding and patterned tile. Resort Studios also feature a flat-screen TV, a beverage center with a beverage cooler and coffee maker, and a gleaming bathroom with marble tile floors and a combo bath/shower.

NEW! Enhancements to Deluxe Studios and Villas
Deluxe Studios and Villas will soon be enhanced with cleverly redesigned living areas and the finest Victorian design touches, including new textiles in living rooms and bedrooms.

Deluxe Studios
Each Deluxe Studio sleeps up to 5, and will include a new pull-down, queen-size bed that tucks away seamlessly into the wall, in addition to a queen-size bed and a charming pull-down bunk-size bed that’s perfect for little ones. Deluxe Studios also have a full split bathroom with separate private areas, a flat-panel TV and a kitchenette with a wet bar, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.

According to the Disboards at Disney Vacation Club Reveals More Information on New DVC Villas Coming to Grand Floridian Resort - DVC Fan the rehab to the studios at the main DVC building will no longer have refrigerators, microwaves, and toasters. Seriously! Also, in viewing the new studios for the Club in the GF building, there is no table and chairs like the original, and the sofa doesn't even face the TV for you to watch. Who is designing these rooms?
I think that you are mistaken about the studios in the original VGF building.

I am pretty sure the existing studios will still have the same kitchenette lay-out they now have. It is the new studios converted from the hotel rooms that will be like the hotel rooms being replaced, having a beverage cooler and a coffee-maker. Except for updating furniture and adding a laminate floor, the sample photos for the converted rooms shown for VGF will actually look a lot like the hotel rooms they are replacing, Including having two queens, lacking a table and having a couch that does not face the TV. In other words, it appears the conversion of the hotel rooms to DVC "studios" essentially amounts mainly to just a soft-goods refurb of those hotel rooms.
