Hi guys,

I have closed at the VGF (whoop whoop!!) but 1 thing I couldn't quite understand was how the fixed weeks work and how these might affect me as a non-fixed week dvc member at VGF?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks

Andy

Up to 35% can be sold as fixed weeks.

For example, for 100 studios, up to 35 can be sold as a fixed week.

Bottom line is, in any one given week, its possible only 65% of the rooms in a certain class may be available for booking with points (making it a little harder to book, and 11 months that much more important)

If you typically go the first week in Decemeber, week 49 might be a good fixed week for you. You pay a premium for that, but your ressie is guaranteed. The fixed week owner may cancel that ressie at which time the points would go into their account for normal usage.

I love it!!

The fixed week requires additional points as well.

Example:

During "Choice Season" the points for a week is 125 in a standard studio. For a week within the same season with a Fixed week, the point requirement would be 138, approximately 10% more than the non-fixed week.

The point cost is the same, but requires more points for the same week.

As a fixed week owner I can cancel the fixed week and book using points if there is availability. I can bank points that I don't use just like any owner.

The fixed week option guarantees me my room size and view category.
