VGF check in question

we are staying at the Villas at Grand Floridian this weekend. Is the check in area at the villas lobby and are they there after 9pm? Or do we have to go to the regular building for check in?

We arrive about 9:30pm

If you arrive via MDE, you check in at the GF.

VGF has a check in for other arrivals open until 10:00 PM.

I suppose you could but often there is a CM greeting DME passengers and they will direct you to go to the GF Front Desk.

GF is the main check in, the desks at the Villas are considered a satellite location. Often the villa CM's will have to call the GF for assistance and room assignments.

Bell Services is at the GF but they often have a Bell Services CM's at the villas. They have a small store room at the villas but the Bell Services CM's prefer to work at the GF because of better tips.

I got off the DME in May, I saw cm's standing there when I got off the bus. I said I'm at the Villas do I go over there? They shook their heads yes. So over I went and checked at the Villa lobby. Mid afternoon.

Same for us. We've asked before, and were told to check in at the Villas. Not once have they ever had to call over to the main building to check us in. It's always been very quick and very easy.

People can and do check in at either. And they may have to call people over now and then to help with longer than usual waits.

If you arrive late and are concerned about someone being at the front desk at the Villas, ask the security guard at the gate where to go and you'll be directed.

Good advice. We noticed there were no CMs in the Villas section (nor baggage help) as early as 9:30 p.m. a couple of nights.
