VGC vs PVB

Our family of 6 plans to use our points primarily for WDW trips with occasional short stays in VGC and Aulani. We were originally planning to purchase 2 PVB contracts (for flexibility) to give us enough points for two week stays in 2x studios. But now considering VGC as the second contract. Would love opinions re. VGC vs PVB, two vs one home resort. TIA!

VGC is very difficult to book at 7 months out, especially studios, as the resort is so small. Getting 2 studios at 7 months would be even harder. I would definitely look at a VGC contract to get that 11 month window.

Aulani is hard to get at 7 months in the summer and holiday times. But if you are flexible in room size, it's not impossible.

Having two home resorts is not a bad thing. Ideally you would want the same UY as you can easily combine the points at 7 months to book.

Again, it's because it's such a small resort. Fewer points, fewer contracts sold.

There are 23 studios that are part of 23 lock-off 2BR units. There are an additional 23 dedicated 2BRs and 2 GVs. Booked to maximum number of units, that's 71 units. Getting 2 studios at 7 months is never to be expected.

Aulani is much easier at 7 months save a few unit types and time spans.

Yep, I've been trying to get a VGC contract for the past month with no luck. 3 full price offers, but all 3 contracts were already pending within the day they're listed.

Make sure to get on all of the resale companies' email lists and download their apps and allow for notifications.

I found my current contract (waiting for ROFR) through an email from DVC by Resale. I am still receiving emails from other companies, however I did turn off push notifications on my apps.
