We are new VGC members we have always stayed in the good neighboor hotels until this year...but does anyone know if we can pool hop to DL pool or Paradise Pier?

We are going to be staying a week in June and unfortunately we didnt plan for the BUSY BUSY grad nights, WOC opening - so fortunately we get to do some pool time this trip!

Yeah

Unless things have changed, pool hopping is not allowed at the Disneyland resort hotels.

Stayed recently and CarolAnn is correct - no pool hopping. But the VGC have the best pools anyway! If you will be spending more time at the pool, you might want to check out the cabanas - they are suppose to be awesome! Someone said they even have TV's in them!

Bummer I just remember seeing Peterpan theme at DLH when walking to goofys kitchen - of course to our 3 year old this is like the best thing ever!

But the slide at VGC looks fun too - thanks!

Good news is, unless your 3 year old just really likes cool ambiance, s/he wouldn't be able to DO anything with the theme anyway. To go on the slides at the CA resorts (the one at the Grand and DLH at least...PPH's slide does not empty into the pool so is different) you have to be a strong swimmer, cannot wear a life vest, and no one can wait for you at the bottom of the slide...we never went over to see if there were height requirements as well.

The pirate ship that's in the area cannot be touched, let alone climbed on.

There's a little bitty, absolutely unthemed slide over in the corner for the littles with life vests...

For DS, who was a new 5 at the time, the frustration of not being able to touch or play on/with any of the themed elements made the pool at DLH almost not worth it. Cool to look at, but looking and not touching isn't generally a fave thing with younger kids :)

Just an additional comment about the tighter restrictions on using the slides in CA...

The lifeguards regularly make kids swim the width of the pool back and forth before they're okayed to do the slide. DD has had to do this a few times.

We stayed on points at the Grand Californian Hotel before the Villas were built on points! AWESOME VACA!! LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

Anyway, we were told NO POOL HOPPING TO EITHER PARADISE PIER OR DISNEYLAND HOTEL!!!

ENJOY!!! ITS AWESOME!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks all for the info especially about the slides, so we are going to take some floaties with us for the kids ;)

The pools do have life vests free for kids to use. We did see kids playing with pool noodles and other floatation devices, but from what I remember, use of those is totally up to the lifeguards.
