How hard do you think it'll be for me to book a 1 bedroom after our PC cruise in mid January? I'll have to book at the 7 month mark and was just wondering if I'll have a chance or not.

Thank you

I'm going tomorrow to VGC and I booked it somewhere between 2-3 months out without any problem.

Well that's good to know. I was just a little worried due to the fact that 2700 people will be docking at the same time I will from our 15 night PC cruise.

Thanks for the reply and enjoy your trip.

Mid-January is generally a slow time for Disneyland, but there is a very large convention (NAMM) over the MLK weekend. If that is when you will be there, you may have more competition than just your fellow cruisers. As a result, you may need to waitlist for the GCV. Booking a 1 BR may also be easier than booking either a studio or 2 BR, if either will work for you.

If you have your heart set on staying at DLR hotel, I would book a fully refundable reservation with CASH if you can't be confirmed at the 7 month window. If you don't need to be at a Disney hotel, I would still book a fully refundable hotel reservation somewhere at least by October if you are going over MLK weekend due to the NAMM convention. Then I would give your GCV WL time to come through, but cancel the WL and confirm something else after the 30 day mark if your WL has not been successful.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

I have had problems with studio availability, but because the 1br are so many more points than the studios, they have been available for the dates I have looked at even when studios were not. I would guess you would be ok as long as you make the reservation as soon as you are able to do so.
