How are crowds over Veterans Day? Is it a time to avoid?

We were there last year on veterans day and it was also Super Soap Star weekend at MGM. We avoided MGM that weekend, and headed over to the Magic Kingdom the Saturday night (I think it was the 9th) and the crowds were huge -MK was the only park opened late so everyone went over there. Anyway, I think most people left that Monday, which I believe was actually Veterans Day, so our last day was pretty light. I would check to see when the Soap weekend is this year, and unless you're into that, I would avoid that weekend. Where Veterans' Day is a Tuesday this year, you might be OK to go that week though.
Good luck!!!

Disnee Dad Says...............................It will be busy, but the crowds REALLY drop off after Veteran's Day, down to nothing until you get closer to Thanksgiving.

I think it depends on the day of the week the Veteran's Day falls on as it is not always a Monday holiday. I imagine that it is more crowded when it falls on Mondays and Fridays because it becomes a long weekend. When it falls in the middle of the week, it is probably less crowded. It is also one of the holidays that a lot of companies and organizations do not observe. It is Tuesday this year, so there will be some people who will take a four day weekend, but probably not as many as would on a three day weekend. Also Super Soaps is always over a weekend, so it would have less impact on a mid week holiday.
