I have not been since Transformers was put in, but looking at the Youtube videos it looks a LOT like Spiderman, in the sense that its the same technology, similar theme, similar live effects worked in to the ride etc. Is this correct? Do you like it better than Spiderman? Or do you find them about equal? I realize Youtubing those rides is nothing like actually riding them.

I have ridden it in US Hollywood, so I don't know if Orlando is identical, but yes it is the same type of ride as Spider-Man. You wear 3D glasses and move through the screens. I like Spider-Man better only because i like Spider-Man better than the Michael Bay version of Transformers, but it's still a good and worthwhile ride. One thing i like about it is that it feels more participatory, as you are riding in a Transformer and he is part of the battle. I did find TF darker and harder to see though, but maybe the Orlando verison is brighter. It's still a good addition to the park though.

I feel like Transformes is more seamless than Spider-Man. I don't know if its the novelty of it or what but I think I like it more. I find it more action-packed.

I'm an annual passholder, so I've been able to ride it several times. I greatly prefer Spiderman for the simple fact that, to me anyway, it creates a more cohesive story and a more immersive experience because of it. The technology on Transformers is awesome, but I have absolutely no idea what the heck is going on. I haven't seen the movies (I actively avoid anything with Michael Bay's name attached), so maybe that would help. I guess we're supposed to be trying to protect an inanimate carbon rod sort of thing, but to me you just go from room to room with some guy introducing various transformers and then a bunch of things explode. I don't follow Spidey in comic, cartoon, or movie form, but I can grasp what's going on in the ride. I'm 42 and a girl, so maybe that makes a difference somehow.

I prefer Spiderman. Transformers felt like all screens to me, while SM felt like I was "part" of the action.

I DEFINITELY prefer Spiderman. I'm not sure if you find yourself comparing it the whole time or what, but it lacked different effects. Spiderman villains all have a unique interaction with you. I felt like I just kept getting "bumped into" in Transformers. It was fun but just didn't impress me or my teenage boys who LOVE transformers.

glad karmutt posted.
i was thinking i was the lone homie that was not a fan of michael bay...
